Lio Rush has broken his silence regarding his health after a scary spot at AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door. The Man of the Hour was seen in action at the UBS Arena this past Sunday, where he competed in a ladder match for the vacant TNT Championship.

Rush delivered an unforgettable in-ring performance alongside his opponents. However, the bout was ultimately won by Jack Perry, who incapacitated Mark Briscoe with a steel chair before climbing the ladder to retrieve the TNT Title.

During the bout, The Blackheart received several brutal moves, including a frightening powerbomb from Konosuke Takeshita onto a ladder supported by the corner turnbuckles. It was later revealed that Rush had sustained an injury from the highly violent match at Forbidden Door, which resulted in his removal from an upcoming Beyond Wrestling show scheduled for July 4, 2024.

Fortunately, the former WWE NXT Cruiserweight Champion has himself provided an update on his health status on social media. Taking to X/Twitter, Rush revealed that he was dealing with a degree of physical pain, albeit he was "not suffering." He teased further appearances in AEW and thanked his fans for their support and reception of his performance at Forbidden Door.

"I'm not suffering, but man am I in some pain. What a night. What a match. I'll be back for more. Thanks to everyone for riding with me on this journey through the #ForbiddenDoor [door emoji][ladder emoji]" wrote Rush.

In a later tweet, Rush expressed his gratitude for fans' concern and reiterated that he would bounce back physically.

"I'm good guys. Couple ice baths and I'll be straight. I appreciate the concern [bicep flex emoji]."
