Kevin Owens broke a bombshell on WWE SmackDown when he said that he was not happy with how he was treated in the Stamford-based promotion. This has obviously caused a huge reaction from the fans.

Owens recently turned heel when he turned on Cody Rhodes and most recently on Randy Orton. In a video that he posted on his social media, Owens expressed his sadness over how Randy Orton chose Cody Rhodes over him.

He then remarked that he was not sure if or when he would come back to WWE, given how he had been treated and how Orton broke his trust. As expected, a lot of fans had their say in the immediate aftermath of the promo by the former Universal Champion.

Many were of the opinion that Owens was now on his way to AEW and some went as far as calling him by his real name, Kevin Steen. It will be interesting to see what happens next now that there is clear friction between the two parties.

Will Kevin Owens cost Cody Rhodes the match at Crown Jewel?

Cody Rhodes is set to take on Gunther at WWE Crown Jewel for the bragging rights on which champion can lift the giant diamond-studded belt.

However, given everything that has taken place between Owens and Rhodes so far, wrestling analyst Sam Roberts has predicted that the former will cost the latter the match against Gunther. He was speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast when he said:

"So, for sure Gunther's winning that big giant title. Kevin Owens is going interfere, and then yeah, that leads us to KO vs. Cody at Survivor Series."

Now, that can only happen if somehow Kevin Owens changes his mind and comes back to WWE. In the event that he does not come back, the rumor mill is going to go into overdrive regarding his future and how he could move to Tony Khan’s company soon.
