Wrestling veteran Jim Cornette believes WWE should pass on the opportunity to sign a top AEW star. The star in question is none other than Daniel Garcia.

The 26-year-old has been the talk of the town ever since the rumors about his AEW contract expiring emerged on social media. Daniel Garcia was reportedly taken off television due to his contract situation in July. However, he made his shocking return to the company at All In. It led to many believing that Garcia might have signed a new contract but that does not seem to be the case as the youngster is once again off television after losing to MJF at All Out.

Some reports also revealed that WWE has an interest in signing Daniel Garcia once he's available as the promotion reportedly sees him in the same league as Bryan Danielson and Roderick Strong. On his Jim Cornette Experience podcast, the veteran questioned what the WWE is looking for in Daniel Garcia that they don't have in their own promotion.

"What is the WWE wanting there that they haven't got? What attribute of [Daniel] Garcia are they wanting to purchase there that they don't have people that have multiple examples of that particular talent or skill or whatever the case. Or are they just trying to drive Tony's f*cking payroll up again?" [From 10:10 to 10:36]

Daniel Garcia wants to retire AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson

The American Dragon Bryan Danielson recently revealed that he will retire from in-ring competition once he loses the AEW World Championship. Former ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia has revealed he wants to retire The American Dragon.

In a recent interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Daniell Garcia revealed he wants to be the person who retires Danielson and said that it would mean more to him than any championship.

"Man, I mean, the goal that I’ve had for probably the past two years, it’s really a goal that only one person can do is I really want to be the person to retire Bryan Danielson. That’s something that I really wanna do. To me, that would mean more than any title, any accolade. I feel like that’s the biggest notch in my belt that I could ever get, and that is my main focus and that is my goal.” [H/T: Ringside News]

With Daniel Garcia's recent contract situation with AEW, it seems like the youngster wouldn't be able to accomplish his goal. However, things can change if Garcia decides to stay with the Jacksonville-based promotion.
