WWE veteran Jim Cornette claims that Daniel Garcia is not the future of AEW. The 26-year-old recently renewed his deal with the Tony Khan-led promotion.

The speculations of Daniel Garcia's future in professional wrestling was a hot topic in the past several months. WWE was reportedly high on signing him, but Garcia has seemingly chosen to stay with AEW as he recently returned to television and has been featured prominently on Dynamite.

In a recent edition of his Drive-Thru podcast, Jim Cornette noted how WWE would have made an offer to Daniel Garcia only to get one over against Tony Khan. The veteran then spoke about Garcia's promo about staying with All Elite Wrestling and claimed that the youngster is setting himself up for disappointment.

"If you follow our programs and social media, you would know that they've been talking about whether he's gonna go to WWE or stay there [AEW] and I believe I said if the WWE made an offer for him, it'd be just to bit Tony [Khan] up because what are they gonna do with this f*cking guy? But the point is, they've never set this up. He's talking to them assuming that they know it's never been on a television show and then, he goes on a tirade that he's a new Daniel Garcia that AEW can build a future on and he's raving delusionally about beating everybody and being a champion and getting over and I'm afraid this is a young man setting himself up for potential disappointment in the future." Bully Ray reacts to Daniel Garcia's AEW Dynamite segment

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently reacted to Daniel Garcia's Dynamite backstage segment with Jack Perry. On the recent edition of Dynamite, Daniel Garcia and Jack Perry met backstage where both men butted heads with each other.

In a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray claimed that the angle made Daniel Garcia look bad and said that a babyface shouldn't be left in those situations.

"You can't leave a babyface in those situations. When the babyface does not respond, you're the one that looks like the b**ch!'' he said.

We will have to wait and see if Daniel Garcia and Jack Perry face off for the TNT Championship in the future.
