AEW President Tony Khan has levied some serious accusations against WWE. These are accusations he's made in the past, as well.

Ever since AEW first launched in 2019, it has been in a rivalry against WWE. It's clear that both promotions don't like each other. For years, AEW has tried to recruit former WWE stars. The young promotion's talent have also taken several shots at the industry juggernaut on live television, and WWE has done the same thing.

Earlier this year, Tony Khan took things a step further when he accused WWE of contract tampering. He claimed that several of his company's wrestlers have alleged that WWE tried to get them to break their contracts or otherwise engaged with them while they were signed to All Elite Wrestling.

During a recent appearance on The Dan LaBatard Show, the AEW boss was asked if the contract tampering situation had improved. He replied that it's still happening:

"I don't think that it has. It's still happening. I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don't think that it's stopped. I'll leave it at that," he said.

Mariah May was convinced to join AEW because Tony Khan had a real plan for her

Mariah May started her AEW career as Toni Storm's protege. However, she betrayed her mentor as soon as she won the Owen Hart Cup and left her in a pool of her own blood.

During a recent interview with Busted Open Radio, Mariah explained that she was convinced to join AEW after hearing Tony pitch the Toni Storm storyline.

“The reason that I chose AEW is because Tony Khan came to me with this (Toni Storm) story. So it was like, okay, I’m not just being signed to a company because she’s got a bit of momentum or anything like that. It’s like, we have a real plan for you and it was something to sink my teeth into. I’ve got to work closely with R.J. City. He’s such a talented writer on this whole character and this whole story.”

Mariah May will now face Toni Storm for the AEW Women's World Championship at AEW All In 2024.
