Ever since his arrival in AEW, Daniel Garcia has proven that he has what it takes to step into the ring with some of the best in the business. His submission victory over Bryan Danielson is a testament to what a great professional wrestler Garcia is when he is serious.
Despite this, Daniel Garcia hasn't had the best booking in recent years. While there have been glimpses of his true potential, he has often ended up on the losing side of matches. Hence, with rumors of his contract expiry, many thought that Garcia would leave the company after MJF attacked him.

AEW star Daniel Garcia didn't know Chris Jericho when he joined The Jericho Appreciation Society
Daniel Garcia became a household name when he joined Chris Jericho's faction named the Jericho Appreciation Society. Unlike some of the other members in the group, Jericho had no interaction with Garcia before they formed a group on TV. However, this move proved to be a pivotal turning point in Garcia's career.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Garcia revealed that he never interacted with the WWE legend before forming a faction with him. In fact, he mentioned that the first time they spoke to each other was when Jericho informed him that he might be joining JAS.
"It's crazy because, you know, me and Jericho didn't know each other when we were put in that group. Like, he came up to me one day and he told me like, 'Hey, I think we're gonna start this group: Jericho Appreciation Society. And I think you're gonna be in it.' Like, that was like one of our first conversations. We didn't know each other. He didn't know anything about me. I didn't know him personally," Daniel Garcia said. [11:54 - 12:15]
