A report regarding Adam Cole's current status has just surfaced. He was last seen in late May but has not formally returned to the company. Fans have reacted to the new update as they were unamused.

The Panama City Playboy sustained a major ankle injury when he came out to support MJF in his match against Samoa Joe at last year's edition of Dynamite: Grand Slam. He has not been close to any in-ring return since then.

Adam Cole was reportedly backstage at AEW All Out last weekend. He was no longer wearing a walking boot, and many said he looked much better. However, no information on his recovery timeline and potential in-ring return has yet to be found.

Many fans were unamused by the news, as there was not any concrete evidence that he was nearing return. Others mentioned that, with him sidelined for almost a year due to the injury, he should consider calling it a career.

"He should retire. I love Adam Cole but he won’t top what he did in NXT," one claimed.
"His career is done," said another.
"he could have been in the all time conversation," claimed another.

Some fans spoke about the next step of his career, with others hoping his return to AEW happens very soon. He looks to be in better condition already. One even mentioned the idea of him returning at Grand Slam on September 25.

Another hoped he would go back to WWE and reform the Undisputed Era.

"Hopefully Grand Slam @TonyKhan," a fan hoped.
"With Swerve and MJF taking time off he is needed back pretty bad," another mentioned.

It has been an unfortunate year so far for Adam Cole, but seeing his current condition, there could be a real chance of him returning soon.

When was Adam Cole last seen in AEW?

It has been three and a half months since Cole last appeared on screen. He was last seen at Double or Nothing in May, cutting a promo about his current situation.

At the time, he talked about the disrespect he had been receiving and planned to remind people who he was once he fully recovered. Eventually, he was interrupted by the returning MJF, who hit him with a low blow and a Brainbuster.

Fans will have to stay tuned for any further updates.
