A top star has been absent from AEW since last year. The star being discussed here is none other than Kenny Omega.

Last year, The Cleaner was diagnosed with diverticulitis which forced him to step out of action indefinitely. He even had to go under the knife to treat his illness. So far there is no update on when he will return to the ring, but he promised his fans that he would return to action once he gets better on the May 1, 2024, edition of AEW Dynamite.

He was recently spotted with a fan amidst his hiatus. The photo of him with the fan was then shared online and is making rounds on social media. In the picture, Kenny Omega looks happy and healthy. Fans were happy to see him in a better condition.

One fan said, "He’s looking amazing. I’m just wanting him to be healthy and happy."

Fans miss Kenny Omega in action.

WWE's Xavier Woods challenged AEW's Kenny Omega to a match

WWE star Xavier Woods is a good friend of Kenny Omega. The stars have a close friendship and are often seen mocking each other on social media. A few weeks ago, The New Day member showed off his Capcom games collection on X, which led The Best Bout Machine to tease him. As a response, Woods challenged him to a match online.

"Kenneth! Even though the rest of you is broken, at least your hands still work. So feel free to come get ran through when this collection drops," Woods wrote.

The last in-ring match Kenny Omega had was on the December 5, 2023, episode of Collision where he beat Ethan Page.
