A former WWE World Champion was asked if the fans might see him in AEW in the future. He answered in the negative. The legend in question is John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL).

JBL is one of the popular stars of the Attitude era. He's a former WWE Champion, Intercontinental Champion, United States Champion, Hardcore Champion, European Champion, and Tag Team Champion. He is also added to the company's esteemed Hall of Fame club. The legend is currently on a Legends contract in WWE but is making sporadic appearances on the independent circuit.

The 57-year-old has spent the entirety of his wrestling career in World Wrestling Entertainment. During a recent Q and A session on the Sportskeeda Wrestling YouTube channel, he was asked if he has any desire to join AEW. He responded by saying that he's always been loyal to the Triple H-led promotion. So there is almost zero chance of him signing a deal with Tony Khan's promotion.

"I've always been a lifelong WWE guy. I've always been loyal to WWE so probably not. But you know as I say you never say never," JBL's response. [33:00 onwards]

WWE legend JBL responds to shots fired at him by MLW star

Lately, JBL has been making appearances in the independent circuits. He was recently seen in the Major Wrestling League as well. This led to MLW star Paul Walter Hauser taking a shot at him. He warned Layfield that he would inflict pain on him if they ever crossed paths in MLW.

JBL reacted to the shots fired at him on the Sportskeeds Wrestling show. The legend names all the stars he clotheslined and that he would not hesitate to do the same.

“He better have a stunt double show up because I get it, he's a great actor, but Hollywood fanboy? That doesn't translate to our business. And think about this: I've clotheslined The Big Show. I've clotheslined Kane, Undertaker, Dr. Death, Vader. If I clothesline him, the only thing he's gonna play as is a victim.”

The Texas native made a surprise appearance at MLW Fightland. He interfered in the tag team match, featuring Brock Anderson and CW Anderson taking on Bomaye Fight Club (Mr. Thomas and Alex Kane).
