A former WWE talent made his AEW debut on this week's episode of Collision, but it was not memorable, as his first match in the company was a squash match. The name in question is Tate Mayfairs.

Mayfairs was part of WWE NXT UK, where he wrestled in 2022 and defeated Kenny Williams by count out. It was a long time since he was seen on TV until today, when he went toe to toe against Daniel Garcia.

The match started off well, with the former NXT UK star coming out of the gates in offensive fashion. However, he was not able to keep it up for long as Daniel Garcia quickly matched up to him. After a few hits here and there, the former member of The Jericho Appreciation Society hit the former WWE star with a Red Cross for the win.

After the match, Garcia celebrated in the only way that he made famous. He climbed onto the barricade and performed his iconic dance in the midst of the adoring fans.

It will be interesting to see what is next for Garcia and, most importantly, for Tate Mayfairs.

More regular outings and matches against top stars will no doubt help him carve a niche in AEW and make his name.
