Keith Lee has been a prominent name in AEW since his arrival. However, he has been dealing with injuries for the past several months. Amid his in-ring absence, Lee suffered a great loss as his friend passed away. Former Women's World Champion Thunder Rosa has sent her condolences to her colleague after finding out about the unfortunate development.

A few hours ago, Lee shared a heartbreaking update on his X/Twitter account. The former NXT Champion revealed that his best friend, whom he had known for 26 years, had passed away. The Limitless One added that though it was going to be hard for him to move on from the grief, he would try nonetheless as there was nothing he could do about it.

Keith Lee shared a photo alongside his late friend and wrote the following message for him:

"26-year best friendship. Gone. And now, I have to find a way to forward march. Rest in Power brudda. This realm.... it is quite rough. I am hopeful for positivity in the rest of your lives."

Thunder Rosa noticed Lee's post and wrote that she was sorry for his loss.

"Sorry for your loss [sad face emoji]."

Just like Keith Lee, another AEW star also lost someone special recently.

AEW star Maria Kanellis' grandmother passed away

A few days ago, absent star Maria Kanellis updated her fans about a personal loss she suffered recently. On her official Instagram account, she disclosed that her grandmother passed away on Monday at the age of 95.

She wrote a lengthy note saying her last goodbye to her late grandmother, whom she referred to as YaiYai. Kanellis also highlighted all the qualities that made her grandma so special.

Maria Kanellis hasn't been on TV for a while. She recently shared a health update, revealing that doctors found an unwanted mass in her adrenal gland during a CT scan. The AEW star further disclosed that she could go under the knife in September 2024.
