Cody Rhodes left AEW in 2022 after spending three years with the promotion as an Executive Vice President and an in-ring talent. The American Nightmare made a return to WWE at WrestleMania 38 and is currently the face of the Sports Entertainment juggernaut.

"I didn't, actually; I didn't. But I know some stuff that went on. And you know, I think it was just his time. He [Cody] made a smart decision. He made a very smart decision. Look at him now. You know, he is the man here. So it's incredible. Incredible ride, incredible journey from him leaving the WWE for the first time, and saying he's betting on himself, and just taking the ball and f***ing running with it. And he created something really cool. That's awesome," he said.
