It was recently mentioned that a top star previously affiliated with AEW is not signed with the company and could be seen elsewhere. Fans have reacted to this and believe El Hijo Del Vikingo could go to WWE.

The luchador has made several appearances for AEW and has even clashed with the likes of Kenny Omega in singles action. He was last seen there in January in a four-way match on Rampage. He recently came back from a hiatus that lasted around seven months due to a knee injury.

During a recent edition of Keepin' It 100, Konnan was asked about El Hijo Del Vikingo's status. He revealed that he was not signed with AEW and could be seen somewhere else soon.

Several fans wanted to see him stay with AEW, as they enjoyed the matches he put on there. However, some felt that he could be headed to WWE.

"VIKINGO DONT GO TO THE FED, THEY WONT LOVE YOU LIKE I DO," a fan claimed.
"He's AEW bound," said another.
"Vikingo vs Takeshita in the finals of WWE Speed in 2026," one mentioned.

Others thought about the possibilities for his career should he jump ship. Some mentioned him being linked to the LWO, as he would probably love to work with Rey Mysterio. Another mentioned possible blockbuster matches featuring the luchador.

"Lmao. Another son for Rey Mysterio," replied another.
"Vikingo vs Gunther,JeVon, and Melo tho would feed the masses," anothet mentioned.
"Vikingo loves Rey. And Rey loves Vikingo more than he loves Dom, because he's a deadbeat dad. Vikingo LWO bound I'm afraid," one said.

One fan wondered if WWE CCO Triple H would put him with the LWO or the Viking Raiders:

Rey Mysterio previously advised the AEW name about taking it easy

The WWE Hall of Famer revealed last year that he had contacted El Hijo Del Vikingo about his in-ring work and advised him to preserve his body.

While speaking to ESPN, Rey Mysterio mentioned how he wanted Vikingo to tone it down and showcase his skills in certain moments. He gave this advice so he wouldn't suffer a similar fate as him.

“I pretty much gave him that advice and told him he could still be incredible if he just toned it down two or three beats more. Pick the moments where you want to do your things to impact. You don’t have to do it every night because they already know who you are. I hope that he takes the advice and doesn’t have to suffer what I did, which is learn the hard way.”

Fans will just have to stay tuned to see where the luchador's future could be headed. With Konnan giving a vague answer regarding his future, there's no telling yet how things will go.
