A top AEW female star wanting to be pampered in WWE was seemingly disliked by Vince McMahon, according to Hall of Famer Teddy Long. The star is none other than Mercedes Mone.

The CEO was signed with WWE for over ten years and had a successful career. In her recent Mone Mag Newsletter, the AEW TBS Champion claimed that she once confronted Vince McMahon over him calling off her match with Nia Jax early. She also spoke about not liking how McMahon talked to her before her departure from the Stamford-based promotion.

In the latest edition of Sportskeeda's exclusive The Wrestling Time Machine podcast with Mac Davis, WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long remarked he was unsure what happened between Vince McMahon and Mercedes Mone. He assumed that Mone might be like the talent who wanted to be pampered by management and claimed that McMahon doesn't do that.

"I don't know what happened with her because I don't really know her but seems to me, she might have been one of those people that liked to be pampered and Vince [McMahon] don't pamper you." [2:11 - 2:20]

The former SmackDown GM further said that Mercedes Mone might have not taken some things seriously while working for Vince.

"If he done some bad, he would let you know. He wasn't the guy that just picked on people. So evidently, it must have been something that she was doing. Maybe, she didn't take things serious. But that can happen. Vince can pick up when you ain't taking it serious, you have to do that, this is your job." [2:54-3:09]

Teddy Long further claimed that former WWE President Vince McMahon didn't pick on people

In the same exclusive video, Teddy Long seemed to back Vince McMahon and claimed that the former WWE President never picked on his talent. He claimed that unless someone has done something worth acknowledging, McMahon wouldn't care.

"I could be wrong, I don't know. But what I'm saying, this is what I sense. Vince [McMahon] don't get on you unless you've done something. He wouldn't have walked around and picked on people. If you done something good and it was worth being acknowledgeable, he would let you know." [2:35-2:53]

Vince McMahon's docuseries titled Mr. McMahon recently released on Netflix and featured interviews with stars like The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, John Cena, and more.
