A top AEW star was seemingly shocked after WWE's intriguing placement of a women's title match. Thunder Rosa recently opened up the match between Giulia and Roxanne Perez last week on NXT.

The Beautiful Madness stepped foot in a WWE ring for the first time at NXT: No Mercy. She confronted the NXT Women's Champion and made her intentions clear. Her debut was hyped for months and fans recognized it as a main event caliber showdown. She made her debut against Chelsea Green a few weeks ago and challenged Roxanne Perez for the title match for NXT's debut on the CW Network.

WWE, which is creatively led by Triple H, and the NXT creative team, led by Shawn Michaels, decided to have the bout open the show, and was very entertaining from top to bottom. It also entailed many surprises as Cora Jade returned to the promotion and cost Giulia the contest.

While speaking on Busted Open Radio, Thunder Rosa questioned WWE's decision to open the show with Giulia vs. Roxanne Parez as she seemingly believed that they should have main-evented the show.

“Well, I was surprised it was an opening match, but it makes sense. I think that’s a huge spot to be in: opening, because that’s where you get everybody’s attention and you retain the public," she said. [H/T - EWrestling News]

Giulia shares a heartbreaking message after losing a huge WWE match

The Beautiful Madness failed to capitalize on her chance to capture the NXT Women's Championship from The Prodigy last week due to Cora Jade's interference.

Following the loss, Giulia took to X/Twitter and claimed that she lost 'in front of thousands of people' as she believed she let many people's hopes down that night.

It will be interesting to see how Giulia bounces back from her disappointing start to life in NXT.
