Bryan Danielson issued a huge challenge to a top star a day ahead of the fifth-anniversary show of AEW Dynamite. The latter is none other than Kazuchika Okada.

The American Dragon is scheduled to defend his All Elite Wrestling World Championship against Jon Moxley at WrestleDream 2024. Before that, the Tony Khan-led promotion will present the five-year anniversary special of Wednesday Night Dynamite this week.

Taking to his Instagram profile, Bryan Danielson posted a video of himself meditating outdoors before lashing out at Moxley over the latter's shocking betrayal of him at All Out last month. He then called out the reigning Continental Champion, Kazuchika Okada, to face him for the World Title on the October 2, 2024, episode of Dynamite.

"F*** Jon Moxley. Jon, you said my idea wasn't working. And that's when I realized, as much as I'd love to fight you, as much as I'd love to bloody you, I'm not fighting against a man. I'm fighting against an idea, and I'm fighting for my idea of how I wanna be as the AEW World Champion. What kind of World Champion do I wanna be? See, this Wednesday, it's the five-year anniversary of Dynamite. Five years since AEW changed the entire wrestling landscape, and I wanna be the kind of World Champion that defends his title on such a monumental show."

Danielson proceeded:

"But who do I defend my title against? I can only think of one person - we've fought two times, I've won one, he's won one. He broke my arm. He fractured my orbital bone. This year he beat me in Wrestle Kingdom in Tokyo. That's right. Okada, I'm calling you out."

Bryan Danielson returned to the ring at AEW Grand Slam 2024

For the first time since All Out 2024, Bryan Danielson returned to action against his Ring of Honor arch-rival Nigel McGuinness in a long-anticipated dream match at Dynamite: Grand Slam, defeating the former ROH Pure Champion via submission.

Later that night, The Dragon attacked Jon Moxley moments after the latter's victory over Darby Allin in their World Title contender's match, choking The Purveyor of Violence with a neck-tie until his allies Marina Shafir, Claudio Castagnoli, and PAC made the save.

Danielson declared war on the seemingly reformed BCC and vowed to kick Moxley in the head during their upcoming world championship match at WrestleDream 2024.
