WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently made some comments about AEW star Adam Cole, drawing interesting reactions from fans on X/Twitter. Adam Cole was signed to the global juggernaut before joining All Elite Wrestling.

Adam Cole arrived in WWE in 2017 and became the biggest star on NXT alongside his Undisputed ERA stablemates. Cole won both the NXT North American and NXT championships during his time on the white-and-gold brand. In 2021, he shockingly left the global juggernaut to sign with AEW.

The Panama City Playboy's run with the Jacksonville-based promotion has been criticized by many, including NXT commentator Booker T. On a recent edition of his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker explained how Adam Cole was a huge star in NXT and recalled calling him 'the next Shawn Michaels.' The veteran further claimed that Cole got lost in the shuffle once he moved to AEW.

Fans on X/Twitter shared varied reactions to Booker T's comments, claiming that he was mad that Cole wrestled in front of more people than him. Another user noted how Cole's run had been pathetic thus far if we didn't count the All In 2023 main event.

Some other fans claimed that the Devil storyline was terrible and noted how Adam Cole had mostly been rehabbing for the past few years.

"Yeah, but the Devil angle was terrible. [The] UK is definitely lost in the shuffle. Wardlow not even on TV," a fan tweeted.
"Yeah, @BookertT5x may be good in the ring, but he doesn't really know a lot about wrestling," another user wrote.
"Seems like he’s always rehabbing as of the past few years," a fan tweeted.

AEW star Adam Cole recalled his time in WWE NXT

Adam Cole led the Undisputed Era (Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish, and Roderick Strong) in NXT and the group managed to capture multiple titles.

In an interview with TV Insider a couple of years ago, Adam Cole revealed that he was grateful for the incredible time he spent working under Shawn Michaels and Triple H in NXT. He claimed that his time in the white-and-gold brand changed him for the better.

"I’ve been so open with how much of a relationship I formed with Shawn Michaels. He is an idol of mine. A guy I look at as the greatest professional wrestler of all time. To have the chance to work under him was really cool. Triple H as well treated me with nothing but respect and is someone I learned so much from, whether it be things that may seem small but are a big deal in the ring or a work ethic. I feel like the pro wrestler I am today is a lot better than Adam Cole was four years ago. A lot of that is because of my time in NXT," said Adam Cole.

Adam Cole is still recovering from a foot injury he suffered last year at Grand Slam. It will be interesting to see when he returns to in-ring competition in AEW.
