Billy Gunn briefly joined forces with a former rival from WWE's Attitude Era on the latest episode of Dynamite. The star in question is Jeff Jarrett.

The July 24, 2024, edition of Dynamite staged the fourth edition of the grueling Blood and Guts match, pitting Darby Allin, Mark Briscoe, The Acclaimed, and Swerve Strickland against The Elite, who were represented by The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada, Jack Perry and Hangman Adam Page.

Although The Cowboy did not enter the matchup initially when it was his turn, he launched a blindside assault against Swerve during the latter's entrance, hitting him with a steel chair to the back. Hangman then proceeded to leash Strickland to the cage outside the ring with a pair of handcuffs and battered him with his AEW World Title.

He continued to rock the former WWE Superstar with punches before Matt Jackson threatened to fire him unless he stepped inside the double cages and aided them against Team AEW. Blood and Guts continued with The Elite outnumbering their opponents as Strickland was handcuffed to the cage outside.

However, WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett would then walk down the ramp to protest the heel faction's tactic. He was intercepted by Brandon Cutler, a long-time associate of The Elite, who then tried to discourage Double J from interfering.

Cutler would, however, suffer the wrath of Billy Gunn, who came out and knocked him out with a punch. He further took a brutal guitar shot to the head from Jarrett. The Last Outlaw, alongside Gunn, then helped free Strickland from the cuffs. Courtesy of Prince Nana's boltcutters tearing a gap through the cage, Swerve was able to join the fight against The Elite.

Billy Gunn and Jeff Jarrett had faced off in singles and tag team action in WWE during the Attitude Era in the late 90s. The two men have even crossed paths in AEW and were on opposite sides in a 12-person tag match earlier this year.
