AEW's trend of signing former WWE Superstars has certainly helped the company grow by leaps and bounds. Furthermore, their current World Champion and TBS Champion are former WWE names, Bryan Danielson (fka Daniel Bryan) and Mercedes Moné (fka Sasha Banks) respectively.

All Elite Wrestling recently signed former three-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin. He made his debut on Dynamite's fifth anniversary episode, in a backstage segment. Fans in the arena were ecstatic to see him, as the star's introduction received a thunderous reaction. Interestingly, according to AEW commentator Jim Ross, Benjamin's athletic skills were far better than popular names such as Batista and Randy Orton.

"I have always been a big fan of Shelton Benjamin. He was one of my signees. In the same class as Batista and Cena, Randy Orton... Shelton was the best athlete in the whole crew. Better than Batista. Better than Randy... If we had been smart enough, to work with him and to develop his verbal skills and give him a chance to grow in that role, he would have been better because he can do things in the ring which could not be replicated," said Ross. It appears like The Hurt Syndicate is preparing to take over All Elite Wrestling. It remains to be seen what the future holds for this faction.

Shelton Benjamin's former stablemate Bobby Lashley has reportedly signed with AEW

Former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley's run with the Stamford-based company ended earlier this year. Ever since his contract expired, he has been heavily rumored to join All Elite Wrestling. A few days ago, fans finally received an update on this situation.

Prominent journalist Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select recently reported that The All Mighty has officially signed with AEW.

The Hurt Business was one of the most lethal factions in the WWE. With MVP, Benjamin, and Lashley in All Elite Wrestling, The Hurt Syndicate has everything in its arsenal to put the locker room on notice.
