AEW star Hook got emotional after one of his family members was attacked ahead of Dynamite. The star being discussed is his father, Taz.
The former FTW Champion is one of the fastest-rising wrestlers in the company, and his father calls the action on the commentary desk. The duo shared an emotional moment on last week's Dynamite when Hook retired the FTW Title and handed it back to its rightful owner, Taz.
Minutes before Dynamite, AEW took to Twitter and announced that the ECW veteran would not be able to attend tonight's event. He had been mysteriously attacked in the parking lot and injured his leg in the altercation. Taz later announced that he would return to New York to consult with his doctors. Nigel McGuinness replaced him on the show.
During a backstage interview, Hook was in tears. He announced he would find and come for his father's attackers.
