The former AEW Women's World Champion Dr. Britt Baker clapped back at a user asking her to retire with a sarcastic message. Baker is currently out of action due to sickness.

After failing to capture the TBS Championship from Mercedes Mone at AEW All In 2024, Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D. made her return at the fifth anniversary special episode of Dynamite. She defeated Serene Deeb on the show. Britt was scheduled to take on Willow Nightingale in the Women's World Title No.1 contender's match on Dynamite this past week.

However, it was announced before the match that the star couldn't compete due to sickness and the No.1 contender's match turned into a four-way featuring Nightingale, Saraya, Nayla Rose, and Jamie Hayter, which Willow eventually won. Baker also released a statement on social media informing the fans about her medical condition after being written off TV.

A user on X (formerly Twitter) reacted to Britt's statement and asked her to retire, accusing her of ruining wrestling. Interestingly, Baker took notice of the user's comments and fired back with the following sarcastic message:

"Thank you for taking the time out of your night to personally send me these extremely necessary words of encouragement sis! People like you make the world a better place. Shine bright 🤗☀🫶🏻"

Britt Baker on the accusations of being problematic backstage

Due to multiple rumors lately, fans online have accused Britt Baker of causing problems backstage in AEW. During an interview with TV Insider, Baker stated the following regarding the said accusations:

"There are so many things. It feels sometimes on a weekly basis where I’m accused of something I said or did or didn’t do. It’s heartbreaking because, at the end of the day, I love pro wrestling and AEW’s women’s division. I’ve never ever in my life nor would I ever do anything to sabotage it."

Moreover, only time will tell when Baker will make her in-ring return after getting healthy.
