AEW's big missed opportunity with Brie Bella and Marina Shafir highlighted by former WWE star (Exclusive)

A former WWE star believes Marina Shafir and Brie Bella should have had a part in Bryan Danielson's segment during AEW All Out. The star in question is none other than EC3.

Bryan Danielson retained his AEW World Championship at All Out against Jack Perry. However, the star had a heartbreaking night as immediately after the match, Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli turned on him. Bryan was suffocated by Moxley with a plastic bag which led to him getting immediate medical attention ringside. He has been out of action since the brutal attack at All Out.

In the recent edition of Sportskeeda's exclusive The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, Dr. Chris pitched how the angle of the Blackpool Combat Club turning heel could have been slightly different. He said that the involvement of Brie Bella would have made it more emotional and added realism.

EC3 also shared his perspective and explained how Marina Shafir could have held Brie in the ring and made her watch the brutal beatdown of her husband. The former WWE star said that the segment would have ended with Moxley hitting Bryan with a 'Conchairto.'

"The collaboration and creativity is great because I love that idea. The one change I would make, correct me if you disagree, is, yeah, Brie's jumping over, her husband is getting his b**t beat, not getting choked out by a plastic bag. Marina grabs her, but holds her and then makes her watch these guys deliver the final blow. They leave and she's sliding in there like, 'No...' Like that. That sounds cool to me." [13:56 - 14:35]

Bully Ray reacts to Jon Moxley's brutal attack on Bryan Danielson at AEW All Out

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has shared his reaction to Jon Moxley suffocating Bryan Danielson with the plastic bag at AEW All Out. The spot led to some backlash from the fans and veterans in pro wrestling.

In a recent edition of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray revealed what his thoughts were after witnessing the brutal spot. He said that it reminded him of Ric Flair and Terry Funk doing the plastic bag angle and to his knowledge, the legends were the only ones to do it till now.

"The first thing that came to mind was Terry Funk and Ric Flair. How do you not think about that? Because Terry Funk and Ric Flair, to my knowledge, were the first and only people to do it. The implication was very violent," Bully Ray said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]
