In June of last year, All Elite Wrestling released a wrestling video game titled AEW Fight Forever. It has received mixed reviews and is available to play on numerous platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

Following its release, the game has added new playable characters that have helped it remain fresh and relevant. Over the past few months, top talents such as Toni Storm, Adam Copeland, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, and more have joined the Fight Forever roster. Interestingly, the company recently announced that New Zealand-Dutch wrestler Jay White is now a playable character in the game.

The game's publisher, THQ Nordic, put out a press release making the above news official.

"THQ Nordic, All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and YUKE’S Co., Ltd. today welcomed “Switchblade” Jay White into the AEW: Fight Forever ring. The third installment in Season 4, Switchblade Tournament Pack ($6.99) features Unified Trios World Champion “Switchblade” Jay White, five new music tracks and a new, local tournament mode," it read.

Where did Jay White perform before joining AEW?

The 31-year-old Jay White began appearing on AEW programming in early 2022. However, he is best known for his time in NJPW. In the Japanese promotion, he faced top talents such as Kota Ibushi, Kazuchika Okada, Tomohiro Ishii, Tetsuya Naito, and more.

In a 2021 interview with Inside the Ropes, "Switchblade" revealed that the language barrier in the Asian country hardly bothered him.

"Hey, you pick it up, broken Japanese and English. A lot of the guys speak broken English and use a lot of hand movements anyway. You can pick up a very basic level of it, I guess, without putting too much extra into it and then if you start to stay a bit more, it’ll really pay off," he said.

In NJPW, Jay White won several championships, such as the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, IWGP Heavyweight Championship, IWGP Intercontinental Championship, NEVER Openweight Championship, and IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship.
