AEW Forbidden Door pay-per-view is just around the corner, as the show takes place this Sunday. All Elite Wrestling achieved an unwanted feat last week as the viewership of the flagship show Dynamite hit its lowest number since its establishment. The show drew a mere audience of 500,000 and was rated 0.16 among the 18-49 demographics.

Despite having a low number the previous week, Tony Khan-led promotion had a huge card lined up ahead of Forbidden Door pay-per-view. The go-home show of the PPV featured many NJPW stars like Zack Sabre Jr., Minoru Suzuki, Hiroshi Tanahashi, and many others.

As per Wrestlenomics, Dynamite drew an average viewership of 680,000 viewers and was rated 0.22 among the demographics. This is a huge number compared to last week, as the difference between them is about 178,000.

In the show, Will Ospreay teased a feud with MJF by ignoring him in the opening segment. Chris Jericho was challenged by the legendary Minoru Suzuki for the FTW Championship match. The end of the show saw Swerve Strickland hitting The Aerial Assassin after the latter snatched the AEW World Championship from him.

It will be interesting to see if the ratings and viewership grow from here on.
