AEW has announced a huge rematch involving Ricochet after seven years for the upcoming fifth-anniversary edition of Dynamite. The former WWE Superstar reacted to the match's announcement with a one-word message.
Ricochet made his All Elite Wrestling debut at All In 2024 in the Casino Gauntlet Match. Following his arrival, the former WWE Superstar had three singles matches on Dynamite, defeating Kyle Fletcher, Sammy Guevara, and The Beast Mortos.
The Future of Flight has now been booked in his first title match in AEW. On Dynamite this week, the company announced that Ricochet and Will Ospreay will lock horns for the International Championship. This will be the first bout between the two since August 26, 2017.
Ospreay and The Human Highlight Reel have faced off inside the squared circle on more than ten occasions in their respective careers. The two share a storied history from their time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling and on the independent circuit.
A fan on X/Twitter seemingly compared the history between the former WWE Superstar and Ospreay with a popular anime series by sharing some stills from the program and the AEW match graphic. The former WWE Intercontinental Champion noticed the comparison and posted a one-word reaction.

Ricochet on whether he is jealous of AEW star Will Ospreay
During his appearance on the Battleground Podcast, Ricochet was recently asked whether he was jealous of AEW star Will Ospreay. The Human Highlight Reel said he had been in contact with Ospreay all along.
“I don’t think anybody is jealous of anybody in the wrestling business, really. I mean, I’m sure there are, but again, my core—my people, my circle, the people that I’m around—nobody is jealous of anybody. And again, I’m sure there are egos, and there are people. But as far as we go, we’ve been in contact basically the whole time.”
The Future of Flight has the chance to capture the International Title from Will Ospreay in two weeks on Dynamite. It remains to be seen what happens in their much-awaited match.
