Former WWE NXT Champion Adam Cole made his blockbuster return at AEW WrestleDream 2024. Cole confronted a top star and his rival upon return as well.
Adam Cole has been out of action since September last year due to injury. While he has appeared on TV several times, Cole has yet to make his in-ring return. The former NXT Champion was last seen at the AEW Double or Nothing pay-per-view, where a returning MJF took him out.
Meanwhile, MJF returned after over a month of absence to attack his current rival, Daniel Garcia, at WrestleDream. Nonetheless, Cole showed up with a huge pop to save the day and ran Maxwell Jacob Friedman off as well.
The story between MJF and Adam Cole, which started last year, still continues due to Cole being out of action due to injury. The two are yet to conclude their rivalry after Cole turned on MJF at the Worlds End 2023 pay-per-view. Only time will tell if Cole is medically cleared to compete, and when fans will see him back in the ring as well.
