Absent AEW star surprisingly returns on crutches during All Out; immediately gets attacked

A popular AEW star made an appearance tonight at the Zero Hour pre-show of All Out following a one-and-a-half-month hiatus due to a major injury. This would be Skye Blue.

The star was last seen on the July 20 episode of AEW Collision in a match against Hikaru Shida. However, the match was called off because Skye sustained a major ankle injury, rendering her unable to continue competing.

With tonight's pay-per-view being in her hometown, Skye Blue came out to say hello to the crowd and have a short interview with Tony Schiavone. She entered in crutches, showing that she was still recovering from her injury. When asked about it, she did not look completely happy but accepted that she was still on the road to recovery.

Surprisingly, Mariah May came out to interrupt her and insult the Chicago crowd, claiming that this was the wrong venue for her championship celebration. This ticked Blue off, and she too, began to insult the AEW Women's World Champion. After a while, The Glamour grew impatient and got physical with Skye Blue, kicking her crutches away.

She was about to use the crutches against her if not for Queen Aminata interrupting. After what happened tonight, it remains to be seen when Mariah May will have her world title celebration event.
