A six-foot-three-inch AEW star answered Darby Allin’s open challenge for WrestleDream 2024 and then proceeded to lay a beatdown. This has set up a really interesting match.

The name in question is none other than Brody King. Allin and King have had a storied rivalry, and it all came to a head again on AEW Collision. The face-painted star had a match with Johnny TV to kick off the Friday night program.

At the end of a good back-and-forth battle, the former TNT Champion got the win via a Coffin Drop. After the match, Darby Allin did the unusual and took the mic to issue an open challenge for WrestleDream. No one showed up at first, and that prompted Allin to walk back to the top of the ramp.

Allin was ultimately blindsided there by the member of the House of Black. Brody King then proceeded to lay a beatdown on his future opponent and said he accepted his challenge. King then warned his rival that there would be just violence at WrestleDream.

This is an ominous sign for Allin, as King will have a size advantage over him when they lock horns inside the ring on October 12.
