AEW star Lio Rush has reacted to being pulled from tonight's Revolution Pro Global Wars show. Rush recently inked a deal with the Jacksonville-based promotion and faced another new signee, Shelton Benjamin, on Dynamite.

Lio Rush was scheduled to face Mascara Dorada in a singles competition at RevPro Global Wars. In an unfortunate turn of events, the AEW star might not be able to make it to the show. On his X/Twitter, Rush reacted to missing the Revolution Pro event due to travel issues.

"My heart sank the moment i knew i wasn’t going to make it in time for the show. Was looking forward to this all week. I’m sure I will see you guys again very soon, but still extremely gutted. Have fun tonight guys," Rush wrote.

We will have to wait and see which star replaces Lio Rush against Mascara Dorada at RevPro Global Wars.

Lio Rush lost to a debuting Shelton Benjamin on AEW Dynamite

This past week on AEW Dynamite, former WWE star Shelton Benjamin made his in-ring debut against Lio Rush in a singles match. MVP accompanied The Gold Standard as the veteran dominated Rush throughout the bout.

During the match, Lio Rush had the upper hand slightly, but Shelton Benjamin outperformed him and hit the Exploder Powerslam to emerge victorious. After the bout, MVP shoved the card of The Hurt Syndicate in Lio Rush's pants, which could hint that the 29-year-old star might join the faction in the future.

Bobby Lashley is also reportedly to join the faction soon. Lio Rush used to manage The All Mighty in WWE a couple of years ago, and the Jacksonville-based promotion could be in the plans to reunite with the former World Champion in The Hurt Syndicate.

Lio Rush recently re-signed with All Elite Wrestling. We will have to wait and see how he gets booked in MVP and Shelton Benjamin's Hurt Syndicate storyline in the upcoming months.
