A 2-time former champion from AEW has vowed to end what he dubbed Kazuchika Okada's "reign of terror." The talent in question is Max Caster.

Alongside his partner Anthony Bowens, Caster constitutes The Acclaimed, one of AEW's most popular acts. The duo have held the AEW World Tag Team Championship, belts they failed to dethrone The Young Bucks for in a triple-threat match involving FTR at All In 2024 last month. They are also former World Trios Champions alongside ally and mentor Billy Gunn.

Caster has been an outspoken critic of The Elite during the heel group's storyline rivalry with The Acclaimed. After a fan on X/Twitter posted about Kazuchika Okada's Continental Championship reign and pointed out that The Rainmaker has defended the belt on five occasions since winning it in March, Max Caster responded by promising to end the Japanese star's so-called "reign of terror" should he receive a shot at Okada's title.

"I'll end his reign of terror as soon as I get a title shot," wrote Caster.

Okada became the Continental Champion by defeating Eddie Kingston on Dynamite several months ago. Since then, he has successfully defended the title against PAC, Dax Harwood, and Kyle Fletcher in singles action. Last month, he also wrestled Claudio Castagnoli to a draw to retain the belt in Cardiff, Wales. Okada recently defeated Konosuke Takeshita, Mark Briscoe, and Orange Cassidy in a four-way bout at All Out 2024 to hold on to the championship.

Kazuchika Okada will be in action this week on AEW Dynamite

Last week on Dynamite, Will Ospreay teamed with his long-time stablemate Kyle Fletcher to win the Tag Team Casino Gauntlet Match and earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Championship, which Matthew and Nicholas Jackson currently hold, on Dynamite: Grand Slam later this month.

Ahead of the upcoming special event, the EVPs will team up with Kazuchika Okada to take on Ospreay, Fletcher, and Konosuke Takeshita in a trios bout on the September 18, 2024, episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite, as was announced by Tony Khan on X/Twitter.

It remains to be seen whether The Elite can pick up the win over the temporarily reunited Don Callis Family members.
