Kenny Omega is one of AEW’s finest wrestlers. He has been with the company since its inception and has held multiple top titles in the company. That has in turn cemented his status as one of the greatest in the company.
However, ever since being kicked out of The Elite a few months back, things have been a little less certain for Omega. Admittedly, he has not had the rub of the green when it comes to injuries, and they have been his Achilles heel.
But the thing that will be haunting him apart from the injury is Jack Perry. The scapegoat attacked Omega when he made his brief return in May. That put him on the shelf for even longer. Since then, Jack Perry has constantly been taunting the former AEW World Champion.
When Kenny does come back, one of his first goals will likely be to potentially take the TNT Title away from Perry and thereby kick him out of The Elite. This will throw a spanner in the works given the situation with the Young Bucks. It will make for great viewing.
Bryan Danielson wants to face Kenny Omega
A lot of things have changed since Kenny Omega was put on the shelf. One of them, Bryan Danielson is now the AEW World Champion.
The former WWE star has revealed how he thought he would be having a series of matches with Omega when he joined AEW. Danielson was speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated when he said:
"Me and Kenny (Omega), unfortunately, we’ve only had the one match. When I came to AEW, I envisioned having these series of matches with Kenny. Instead, it’s been Hangman, and I’ve learned firsthand how incredible he is. Hangman’s the man. That dude’s awesome."
With Bryan Danielson now the champion, fans will be hoping to see him put the title on the line against Kenny Omega when he does indeed come back.
