Bryan Danielson's full-time in-ring career has ended. At WrestleDream, he lost the AEW World Championship to Jon Moxley and was brutally assaulted by the latter's faction. Furthermore, Wheeler Yuta turned on his mentor.

The next few weeks are going to be instrumental for Blackpool Combat Club. They are undoubtedly the most dominant faction in the company currently, and anyone in the locker room would think twice before coming face to face with them. However, Danielson's former rival Nigel McGuinness might have the courage to stand up against the evil group.

Long-term wrestling fans are aware of the fierce rivalry between Bryan Danielson and Nigel McGuinness. The two battled countless times in Ring of Honor, and most of their matches were classics. McGuinness recently came out of retirement and locked horns with his arch-rival at Grand Slam 2024. However, he could not defeat the 43-year-old.

While on commentary, McGuinness usually criticizes The American Dragon as part of his heel gimmick. Interestingly, after witnessing Moxley and Co.'s actions at WrestleDream, he praised Danielson's determination.

"Nobody can question Bryan's determination," said McGuinness.

There is a strong possibility that Nigel McGuinness will become a pure babyface and go after Jon Moxley and his faction. Of course, he cannot take the group down on his own. Hence, it will be interesting to see who will help the 48-year-old if he chooses to target The Purveyor of Violence and his teammates.

Bryan Danielson lost all respect for Jon Moxley

Before Danielson locked horns with Moxley at WrestleDream, he delivered a passionate promo. The American Dragon revealed that he spent a lifetime forming a bond with the former Dean Ambrose, but he did not respect him anymore.

“It's so easy to lose someone's respect. You spend a lifetime gaining someone's respect. But in just a snap of a finger, you can lose it. I respect things about Jon Moxley, but I can no longer respect Jon Moxley the human,” said Bryan Danielson.

Only time will tell what the future holds for Danielson. As for Moxley, he has become a four-time AEW World Champion and is scaling new heights in his career.
