AEW WrestleDream 2024 could end up being a pivotal event for the future of the Tony Khan-led company. Several intriguing matches have been announced for the high-stakes event, that could change the course of All Elite Wrestling forever.

The show will take place at the Tacoma Dome, in Tacoma, Washington, tonight (October 12). Aside from the pre-announced matches, fans could also expect many unrevealed stars to mark their presence at WrestleDream 2024. Moreover, many deserving talents could finally get their crowning moments at the upcoming Washington pay-per-view.

Tony Khan would hope to continue AEW's streak of quality pay-per-views by delivering yet another memorable event tonight. The high-stakes PPV could witness many surprises that could leave the audience stunned.

In this article, we will look at five last-minute predictions for WrestleDream 2024:

#5. Konosuke Takeshita could finally win the International Championship

At WrestleDream 2024, Will Ospreay will put his International Championship on the line against Konosuke Takeshita and Ricochet in a Triple Threat Match. Defending a title in a three-way battle is extremely difficult, and there are good chances that the International Championship could change hands at the Washington pay-per-view.

After waiting for almost two years, Konosuke Takeshita could finally achieve his moment of glory tonight. The Alpha could take advantage of the triple threat rules to finally capture the AEW International Championship at the PPV.

Takeshita could utilize his strength and agility to decimate his two high-flying opponents in this contest. It would be a smart booking decision on Tony Khan's part to put the title on The Alpha, who has been a workhorse for AEW in the past year.

It would also be a great way to set up a long-term rivalry between Ospreay and Ricochet, which fans have been eagerly waiting for.

#4. Bobby Lashley could destroy Swerve Strickland

At WrestleDream 2024, Swerve Strickland will make his first official appearance since All Out. The Killshot will likely have a confrontation with MVP and Shelton Benjamin, who are eager to recruit Swerve into their faction called "The Hurt Syndicate."

Another major name that could make his presence felt during this segment is Bobby Lashley, who recently parted ways with WWE. The Almighty has reportedly signed a multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling, and he is expected to make his first appearance tonight.

While The Hurt Syndicate would love to acquire the services of Swerve Strickland, The Realest One would prefer to wage war against the heel faction instead. If The New Flavor tries to go against Syndicate, he might end up drawing the ire of Bobby Lashley.

The Destroyer could launch a shocking assault on Strickland if the latter refuses to join his group on the Washington pay-per-view. The Almighty could deal some serious damage to the former AEW World Champion, who is yet to recover from his battle against Hangman Adam Page.

The incident would help lay the seeds for a future rivalry between Swerve and Lashley, which would certainly be an exciting prospect.

#3. Christian Cage could attempt cashing in his title shot

Christian Cage won the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In. With this massive victory, Captain Charisma secured himself a future shot at the AEW World Championship.

Unfortunately, luck has not favored The Patriarch whenever he has attempted to capitalize on his guaranteed title shot. From Kip Sabian to Jon Moxley, several outside forces have prevented the veteran from fulfilling his title aspirations.

At WrestleDream, Christian Cage could attempt to become the next AEW World Champion once again. The Patriarch could make an appearance after the conclusion of the Bryan Danielson vs. Jon Moxley bout, which is going to be no less than a war.

Whoever emerges as the victor in that contest would likely find himself on the target of Captain Charisma. With The Blackpool Combat Club looming in the shadows, it will be intriguing to see if Cage succeeds in his intentions this time around.

#2. Brody King could decimate Darby Allin at WrestleDream 2024

After losing his World Championship shot against Jon Moxley, Darby Allin is now set to battle Brody King at WrestleDream. Allin seems to be deeply affected by his loss against Moxley and would hope to redeem himself at the Washington pay-per-view. However, Tony Khan may pull off a shocker by booking the 31-year-old to lose at WrestleDream.

The daredevil star could continue going down a downward spiral by suffering another defeat on Saturday. Losing to his arch-nemesis Brody King would deal a significant blow to Allin's self-confidence. It would be a turning point for his character, after sustaining several crucial losses since Sting's retirement.

A string of disappointing losses could help solidify the former TNT Champion as a true underdog. It would make Darby's eventual return to winning ways even more special.

#1. Shane McMahon could help Jon Moxley become the new AEW World Champion

Shane McMahon is heavily rumored to be working with Jon Moxley's latest faction. Several hints indicate that The Prodigal Son is planning a possible invasion of AEW. Although he has yet to show direct involvement in this storyline, WrestleDream could be the place where Shane O'Mac finally makes his debut in the Tony Khan-led company.

The former WWE Hardcore Champion could help The Deathrider dethrone Bryan Danielson at the Washington pay-per-view. McMahon could shockingly take out The American Dragon, allowing Moxley to finish off his vulnerable opponent.

Shane O'Mac would generate immense heat from the audience if he costs Danielson his AEW World Championship. After months of speculation, McMahon could leave the wrestling world stunned at WrestleDream 2024.

As divisive as it would be, the Tony Khan-led company would not be the same once Shane McMahon finally arrives on the scene.
