WWE Hall of Famer Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) could make his highly anticipated return after months and go after a top AEW title. Copeland has been out of action since May 2024.

The erstwhile Edge suffered a fractured tibia during his successful TNT Title defense in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match against Malakai Black at AEW Double or Nothing. Copeland was later forced to relinquish his title. Meanwhile, The Rated R Superstar could return to dethrone current TNT Champion Jack Perry.

Jack Perry captured the vacant TNT Title by winning a multi-man Ladder Match at Forbidden Door 2024. While Copeland has been out of action due to injury for nearly five months, Perry has successfully defended his title on multiple occasions.

Assuming Adam Copeland makes his return from injury sooner rather than later, he could immediately go after Jack Perry. The erstwhile Jungle Boy currently has the title that the erstwhile Edge never lost prior to his absence.

The Scapegoat could put out an open challenge on an episode of Collision or Dynamite, and The Rated R Superstar could answer that and take back his TNT Championship. Copeland could later bring back the "Cope Open" challenge. However, the angle is speculative at this point.

Adam Copeland (FKA Edge) provided an update on his injury last month

Amid his absence, the former AEW TNT Champion recently shared an update on his injury and potential in-ring return.

During an interview with AMNY, the veteran said that while he felt good, he had yet to regain full strength.

"It feels good; it still doesn’t have the full strength back yet. The explosion isn’t there; the full mobility isn't back yet. I was able to get in the ring and kind of roll around a little bit just to see where it’s at. I felt some of the deficiency; it still isn’t up to it, but it is in the right direction," he said.

Only time will tell when Adam Copeland will return to AEW TV.
