AEW's 'The Elite' has been a group since their days in NJPW. The faction initially consisted of The Young Bucks, Kenny, Omega, and Hangman Adam Page. During the initial days of All Elite Wrestling, Page left The Elite to go out on his own.

However, earlier this year, The Elite underwent a major transition as they removed Kenny Omega from the group. This was a big change as Omega was seen as the leader. Instead, they replaced him with his arch-rival, Kazuchika Okada. The Bucks also added Jack Perry to their ranks. Despite the formidable nature of the group, they have not been as dominant as before since there is no leader. This begs the question: who could be the ideal person to lead them? The answer is Shane McMahon.

While Shane McMahon is not yet part of AEW, to begin with, there have been rumors of his interest in joining Tony Khan's promotion. He even had a meeting with Khan recently. While nothing substantial has yet to come from this meeting, the President of All Elite Wrestling had nothing but nice words to say about the WWE veteran.

If the 54-year-old WWE legend were to make the jump to AEW, it would be perfect to place him as the leader of The New Elite. The group is without a leader and could do with someone like Shane-O-Mac's leadership skills. Moreover, The Young Bucks recently met McMahon at an airport and even took a picture with him. During this time, Matthew and Nicholas could've discussed the possibility of Shane joining their ranks if he were to sign with AEW.

McMahon joining AEW would be big news but it would be huge if one day during Dynamite, The New Elite, went out to ring and announced him as their newest member. He could also play the role of a company investor which could give the group more power than they already possess allowing them to be bigger heels in the process.

Shane McMahon's close friend addressed his move to AEW

Ever since the photo of Shane McMahon with Tony Khan was leaked online, several people have opened up to the possibility of the WWE veteran moving to AEW. Many people have given their thoughts on it in recent months.

During an interview with AdFreeShows, Pete Gas mentioned that you "never say never" with Shane since he lives for the moment and kayfabe.

“Never say never. That’s the only thing I can say. I don’t know. The history behind Shane, and everyone, Shane loves to kayfabe. Shane is not going to let anything out that he doesn’t want out. It’s funny because they teased that whole thing with him meeting with Khan. It piques people’s interest. You never say never with Shane. He lives for that moment. The whole thing when he came back [to WWE], everything is kayfabe with him. It’s always been kayfabe. That’s how he lives. You never say never,” he said. [H/T - Ringside News]

Shane McMahon joining AEW could be one of the best things to happen to the company since he knows how to run a wrestling promotion.
