Forbidden Door 2024 is right around the corner, and it will feature the top stars from All Elite Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling. From world title bouts to highly anticipated grudge matches, the upcoming pay-per-view boasts a stacked card.

Many plots and subplots have been spun over the past few weeks, and it is not easy to predict what will happen at the event. In this article, we will look at five last-minute predictions for Forbidden Door.

#5 Mercedes Mone becomes double champion

Mercedes Mone has arguably had an underwhelming run since making her AEW debut in March 2024. Despite becoming the TBS Champion, she has not been able to win over the fanbase, as many view her as a heel.

The CEO could go all in on her heel persona and do all she can to defeat Stephanie Vaquer. This will allow Mone to not only hold the TBS Title but also the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship at Forbidden Door.

#4 Jack Perry to win vacant TNT Title

The TNT Title was vacated by Adam Copeland after he injured himself at AEW Double or Nothing during his match against Malakai Black. Since then, the title has been vacant and it needs to be put on somebody who can elicit a strong reaction from the crowd.

Enter Jack Perry. The Elite member is a true heel and has cemented himself as the 'Scapegoat' of the company. Having him win the six-man ladder match at Forbidden Door will further solidify his status as one of the top villains in the promotion.

#3 Mariah May betrays Toni Storm

Mariah May is in a bit of a pickle in the ongoing feud between her best friends, Toni Storm and Mina Shirakawa. Things got out of hand on Dynamite when Shirakawa accidentally knocked out May with a champagne bottle.

Mariah May could shock fans by betraying Toni Storm and fully aligning herself with Shirakawa at Forbidden Door. If that happens, Storm could eventually turn face and have a singles match with May in the future.

#2 Will Ospreay suffers first singles loss since AEW signing

Will Ospreay has been a dominant competitor since inking a deal with AEW. He has not lost a singles match, picking up wins over prominent names like Roderick Strong, Konosuke Takeshita, and Rey Fenix. However, this time, he is up against World Champion Swerve Strickland.

Strickland has fought hard to reach where he is right now and he won't be losing the World Title so easily. Therefore, fans can expect Ospreay to suffer a loss at Forbidden Door.

#1 Jon Moxley loses the IWGP World Heavyweight Title at Forbidden Door

Jon Moxley won the IWGP World Heavyweight Title in surprising circumstances, and he has had great matches since his massive victory. He will be putting his title on the line against Tetsuya Naito at Forbidden Door. The time might be right for him to lose the gold and fully focus on AEW.

The Blackpool Combat Club member has not had a shot at the AEW World Title for a while, but that can change soon. A match against Swerve Strickland for the gold will no doubt bring the house down. Hence, Moxley will likely drop the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on June 30.
