Team AEW will have a chance to settle the scores with The Elite when the two sides square off in a Blood & Guts Match on the July 24 edition of Dynamite. After a crushing defeat in the Anarchy in The Arena Match at Double or Nothing, the babyfaces will be eager to redeem themselves against the tyrant faction.

A Blood & Guts Match traditionally features two teams with five members competing for each side. While Team AEW has plenty of good options to complete their lineup, The Elite is currently short of one member.

On this note, here's a look at five stars who could join The Elite for their Blood & Guts Match against Team AEW:

#5. Ricky Starks returns to help The Elite

As per recent reports, the AEW creative team currently has no plans for Ricky Starks. For a gifted performer like Starks, it is unfortunate that Tony Khan has not utilized The Absolute One to his full potential.

To make up for Starks' poor booking, the AEW CEO could have the former FTW Champion forge an alliance with The Elite for their Blood & Guts Match in July.

Last year, The Absolute One introduced the world to his violent side during his Strap Match against Bryan Danielson. Known for his underhanded tactics, a ruthless Ricky Starks could be a valuable addition to The Elite.

Considering Jack Perry's recent growth as part of the heel group, allying with The Young Bucks could do wonders for Stroke Daddy.

#4. Sammy Guevara knows the risks involved in a Blood & Guts Match

Sammy Guevara has been off television since February 2024, when he accidentally injured Jeff Hardy during their No Disqualification Match on Collision.

The Spanish God was soon handed an indefinite suspension from the company after he failed to follow the concussion protocol in his match against The Charismatic Enigma.

Reportedly, Guevara is set to return to AEW programming very soon. Considering his prowess at playing the bad guy, the former TNT Champion could be a solid weapon for The Elite against Team All Elite Wrestling.

In kayfabe, Sammy Guevara will be infuriated at Tony Khan for suspending him from the Jacksonville-based promotion. Thus, it makes perfect sense for the disgruntled star to join forces with the AEW EVPs.

With prior experience competing inside the deadly double-caged structure, Guevara's inclusion will spell doom for The Elite's opponents.

#3. Chris Jericho extends his support to The Elite

Chris Jericho has recently undergone an interesting character change. After months of ignoring the outside criticism, Jericho has finally embraced his lust for "TV Time," giving birth to his "Learning Tree" gimmick.

The Lionheart's newest character presents him as an obnoxious veteran who loves dishing out advice to everyone around him. With his everlasting longing to be in the spotlight, The Learning Tree would be eager to participate in the ongoing war between Team AEW and The Elite.

To even the odds for the heel faction, the FTW Champion could extend his services to The Young Bucks for their Blood & Guts Match. Despite their previous issues, The Elite and Chris Jericho could keep their differences aside to teach the babyface team a lesson.

#2. Christian Cage helps The Young Bucks strengthen their hold over AEW

During the recent episode of Collision, Christian Cage announced that The Patriarchy is on the hunt for the AEW World Championship and the AEW World Trios Championship.

After a string of recent losses, it will be quite difficult for Captain Charisma to get a title shot soon. However, the leader of The Patriarchy could scam his way into another world championship match by helping The Elite at the Blood & Guts special event.

During a recent episode of Dynamite, Christian Cage had a brief discussion with The Young Bucks backstage. The two sides seemed appreciative of each other's recent work, hinting at a possible collaboration between The Elite and The Patriarchy.

With a stacked resume in hardcore wrestling, Christian Cage might be the perfect individual to help neutralize the babyfaces for The Elite inside the dreadful double cage.

#1. Hangman Adam Page cements his heel turn by joining The Young Bucks

Hangman Adam Page last appeared on television at AEW Revolution, where he lost a three-way World Title match against Samoa Joe and Swerve Strickland. On the following episode of Dynamite, The Young Bucks suspended Page from The Elite for putting his hands on company officials at the pay-per-view.

After failing to recruit Swerve Strickland into their team on the recent edition of Dynamite, The Bucks may consider bringing back The Anxious Millennial Cowboy.

Hangman Page was involved in a fierce rivalry with the current AEW World Champion before his suspension from the company. The Killshot brought out the worst side of The Cowboy during this feud. By the end of his previous run, Page had started to show heelish tendencies, courtesy of the torture he suffered at the hands of Swerve Strickland.

Regarded as a beloved figure amongst fans, Page could shock the world by aligning himself with The Elite upon his return. It will be one of the biggest heel turns in the history of the Jacksonville-based promotion, which could tilt things heavily in the favor of the heel faction.
