On The Young and the Restless, the hype surrounding who Aristotle Dumas is has reached a crescendo, but now fans are worried it’s going to be an overwhelming disappointment for one reason.
Dumas or Doom: The Young and the Restless needs to deliver

Aristotle Dumas, this name has been making headlines and head scratchings since late 2024. Aristotle arrived on the scene many many years ago according to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) but Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) claims that he’s only been around for the last five or six years. Victor said he’s been battling with Aristotle over various business transactions and often lost only to see Aristotle disappear like the morning mist. Now Lily (Christel Khalil) has been pushing Damian (Jermaine Rivers) to reveal all he knows about Dumas.
Even Damian had very little to share about the identity of his boss. No one other than Billy or Damian have spoken to the legend on the phone (that we know of). What we do know is that Damian is just the frontman so that Dumas could remain in obscurity. Did Dumas need to hide when Damian found him? The fans and viewers of The Young and the Restless are concerned that because the hype has been built up like this, that the final reveal could just be a big let down and here's why.
Damian admitted to Lily that Aristotle Dumas is not a real person

“Victor was the first one to say that he and Dumas had business dealings for many, many years. Soap site recaps said Victor and Dumas had gone back decades. Then out of the blue, Jack says Dumas "came on the scene 5 or 6 years ago". That was a specific contradiction to what Victor and even Michael said about Dumas. So which is it? I hate this. This is dumb again.” - xoregonian
“Victor may be playing all sides against the middle, including Michael.”- Rubythroat1
One of the regular contributors to Soap Centrals Message Boards Rubythroat1 made a connection between Aristotle and…Victor Newman.
“Connection to Count of Monte Christo: Victor was placed in an orphanage as a child. Did not reconnect with his mother until he was an adult. His father when he was in his sixties. He could have related that to the prison of the Count of Monte Christo. His real name was Christian Miller. Victor became a billionaire by his own wits. Aristotle Onassis was a Greek shipping magnate billionaire. Aristotle was a Greek philosopher. Victor is a well known reader of philosophy and classical literature. Victor has also spent time in prison. Ian Ward was there at the same time.” — Rubythroat1
“If it's Victor, I'm done with Y&R.” - Cloverleaf
“Damien being broke, taking the job knowing it was risky, and Lily questioning his decision. Lily has no idea what it's like being in that position. Not many in GC do. The one person who does is the richest man in GC.” — contributor YDoIStillWatch
To me it doesn't make sense if Victor is Dumas on The Young and the Restless. That is not the Aristotle we need nor want. Victor wouldn’t be at all motivated to hand Chancellor to Billy. The theories on who Dumas could be are starting to shrink again after numbering many. Tucker (Trevor St. John) is still a really good candidate to be Dumas. Neither Billy nor Damian mentioned that an electronic voice distorter was used during their conversation with him so it would be worthy of mentioning I’m sure if the voice was female, but no such distinction has been made. With Damian telling Lily that Dumas is like an onion with many layers (fond memories of Shrek telling Donkey that ogres are like onions), that's the only reveal that will shock me at this point. Mike Meyers as Dumas, anyone?
