Billy asked Phyllis to walk him through her conversation with the CEO of Odyssey 7 again. They determined the CEO was bailing, even though it had been a done deal. Billy was sure Victor was sabotaging the deal and that Lily had tipped Victor off.
Phyllis guessed that Victor had probably acted like a father figure in Lily's time of need, which had convinced Lily to offer up the information. Phyllis said Lily was smart and savvy, but she was emotional and did not think of the long game. They hoped that, unlike Victor, Lily would either not cover her tracks or that she would gloat about what she'd done. Billy sent Lily a text message and asked her to meet.
Mariah and Nick met with Faith and asked how Sharon had been when she'd arrived at home. Faith said she had been in bed when Sharon had gotten home, and Faith hadn't talked to her. Faith added that she'd had a text from Sharon in the morning. Sharon had told Faith that she had gotten home late, packed a bag, and gone to Madison for a Cassidy First meeting. Mariah said that the meeting was on her calendar, not Sharon's.
Mariah received a text from Sharon explaining that the man Mariah was supposed to meet wanted to talk with Sharon instead. Mariah, Nick, and Faith thought Sharon's story almost sounded legit. Faith wondered if Sharon was trying to prove herself by pulling herself together for the meeting.

Mariah agreed that some of the situation made sense, but not the part when Sharon had left in the middle of the night. Nick said h'e told Sharon that Faith needed her, so Sharon leaving didn't sit well with him. They decided that it was possible that Sharon suspected they were going to talk to her about her mental state and had found an excuse to run away. Mariah offered to drive to Madison and check on Sharon in person.
Sharon looked out the window of a seedy motel room as Cameron scolded her. Cameron said that Sharon's story was flimsy and that her family would know she had lied. Sharon said she'd covered her tracks by doing a remote check-in on her phone for a hotel in Madison. Cameron said Mariah would call the man she was supposed to meet with. "You're in a bind of your own making," Cameron scoffed.
Mariah called, but Sharon let it go to voicemail. Cameron lost it on Sharon, yelling that she should have answered and acted like everything was under control. When Cameron asked if she was trying to get caught, Sharon got upset and told Cameron to go away.
Cameron said Sharon needed to stop running and to right the wrong from all those years before. Cameron said Nick would see Sharon in control of herself and be drawn to her. "Make a plan and see it through. You're smart enough not to get caught," Cameron urged. Sharon spotted a picture of her, Nick, and Cassie. "There it is—that is the look I have been waiting for," Cameron said. Sharon said she knew what needed to be done; she had no choice but to follow through.
Mariah called Sharon from outside her hotel room. Sharon claimed she was getting ready for her meeting, but when Mariah said she was in Madison, Sharon didn't know what to say.
Nate and Devon were having coffee at Crimson Lights when Lily walked in. They asked Lily for an update about Billy and if she was still thinking of suing for her job back. Lily told them that she had a plan but didn't elaborate. Devon wanted her to be careful, as Billy was slick.
Lily dismissed Nate and Devon's concerns. "Trust me, Billy is too busy tripping over his own ego to be a threat," Lily said. Nate and Devon continued to advise Lily about how Billy could be. They urged her to let go of her battle with Chancellor and return to Winters instead. "It's going to get uglier before it gets better, and there's no guarantee you'll win," Nate warned.
Lily laughed and said that her plan was already in motion, and by the time Billy realized it, it would be too late to stop it. Just then, she received a text from Billy. Lily mocked him and said her plan was already working.
Lily told Billy that unless he was willing to give back her company, there was nothing to discuss. Billy called Lily and asked again to meet. "I know what you're up to, and you're making a serious mistake," Billy said, seemingly earnestly. Lily smiled smugly and told him he sounded worried. Billy said he was trying to give her a lifeline, but Lily didn't listen.
When Lily hung up, Devon asked if Billy had a reason to be worried about her. Lily told Devon and Nate that she had everything under control. Devon suggested that if she told them what her plan was, they could help her. Lily said she didn't need their help.
As Lily was walking out of Crimson Lights, Billy came in and asked if he could buy her a coffee so they could talk. Lily continued reminding him that he had fired her, but Billy told her he knew how she was going after him.
Devon and Nate watched as Billy tried talking to Lily. Phyllis interrupted and announced that she was Chancellor's new COO. Lily laughed and stated that Billy had stooped low to work with Phyllis. Phyllis argued about loyalty and honesty and told Lily that she was the one that had screwed over Billy, not the other way around. "You're surrounding yourself with yes people," Lily told Billy.
Lily fired off a bunch of insults at Billy and Phyllis and dismissed Billy's concerns. Billy told Lily that only three people had known about Odyssey 7—Billy, Lily, and Chance. When Billy accused Lily of teaming up with Victor, Lily called him paranoid. Billy said the CEO would not give her the time of day, but Victor would have his attention. Lily asked if he had any proof. Billy told Lily that she was one of the few in the corporate world with integrity and that giving confidential information to Victor was beneath her. Billy said she should be ashamed of herself.
After Billy and Phyllis left, Lily stood alone, looking uncomfortable. Devon and Nate asked her if anything Billy had said was true. Lily tried to laugh it off, but Nate told her to be straight with them. “Are you really colluding with Victor to take down Billy?” Nate asked. Devon added, “Are you out of your mind?”
Devon and Nate told Lily that Victor didn't do anything out of the goodness of his heart and that he was ruthless. Lily argued that Devon was about to be Victor's son-in-law and that Victor had always been supportive of her career. Devon said none of that mattered to Victor, as Lily was not family. Lily called her arrangement with Victor a partnership, which surprised Nate and Devon.
Lily told Nate and Devon about her deal with Victor and how she would help him take down Billy, and in return, she would be reinstated as Chancellor's CEO. When they realized Lily had nothing in writing, they warned her that Victor would put a family member in that role, not her. Lily snapped that she wasn't stupid and knew what she was doing.
At the office, Billy and Phyllis recapped their talk with Lily and determined that she was guilty of conspiring with Victor. Phyllis reiterated that she had Billy's back and believed in him. Billy smiled and agreed that they made a good team.
