Nick was still embracing a vulnerable Phyllis in the park from yesterday's episode. He told her she had to let it out. Phyllis said she didn't have to do that. Nick persisted, saying it was the only way to get her pain out of her system. "Stop it," Phyllis told Nick as she held back the tears. She told Nick he was the only person in the world who she would let talk to her like that. "What would I do without you?" she mused.

Nick assured Phyllis she'd be good. "I know you'll always be there for me," Phyllis informed her ex. He stated that she can't push her emotions down. Nick added it didn't have to be a big purge. They could just do coffee and carbs. Or he could give her space. Phyllis said she liked being there. "Then, that's where I'm going to be," Nick assured her. Just then, Sharon came upon the couple as they were still in an intimate moment.

Sharon asked if she walked in on a private moment. She added that they seemed intense. Nick and Phyllis claimed their talk was about Summer and her trip to Italy. Sharon suggested Phyllis take Lucy, Daniel, and Harrison to Italy to visit Summer. "I can't tell you what getting out of town did for me," Sharon said.

Phyllis said it was something to think about it. Sharon persisted. "Okay, you've convinced me," Phyllis said. She said it was off to Milan, indicating Nick might be going with her. Phyllis revealed she was joking about Nick going with her.

Sharon wondered if Noah and Summer would find time to see each other. Nick checked his phone and said that work was calling. Sharon suggested Nick come by and have lasagna. Nick said he was a sucker for extra cheese. He told Sharon he'd get back to her. Phyllis thanked Nick for helping her. Sharon picked up on the intensity of whatever went down between them.

"What exactly were you thanking Nick for?" Sharon inquired. Phyllis said she was just thanking Nick for his support. Sharon asked for specifics. "I'm sorry you lost your job," Sharon said.

Sharon said she likes working with Mariah, so she can relate to Phyllis wanting to work with Daniel. Phyllis called Sharon an angel and said her new business would be profitable. Sharon added that Nick probably told Phyllis all about London. Phyllis informed Sharon that Nick didn't mention London at all.

Sharon said she'd be the lucky one to share with Phyllis about the family's trip to London. "We were all so grateful to be together again," Sharon stated. Just then, Phyllis got a text from Amanda asking her if she could meet her at Society. Phyllis texted back that she'd be there in 10 minutes. Sharon asked who sent the message. "See you later," Phyllis said with a smile, not giving Sharon an answer.

In the park, Billy vented to Sally about Victor's crusade against him. He rhetorically asked to be given a break. Sally took him literally and suggested he indeed take a break. "You say you're over it, and then you go on another rant," Sally pointed out.

Billy paused, saying he was embarrassed. He'd love to let go of all the crazy things in his head but it wasn't happening. Sally theorized that Victor and Adam couldn't do that much damage to Abbott Communications. She did concede that Victor would try to destroy him. Billy admitted he was angry, but he couldn't get rid of the anger. Sally asked Billy if he even wanted to.

Sally told Billy to take his shoes and socks off so he could touch the grass. He fought back on this for a bit, but then he gave in. Sally asked Billy to take a deep breath and close his eyes. "I want you to listen to the wind," Sally said. "I want you to take all of your thoughts..." and push them all together like a pile of leaves. Now, let the wind take them far away.

"When you're ready, open your eyes," she continued. Billy opened his eyes and Sally asked him what he saw. Then, he leaned into her and kissed her. Billy shared that Sally's idea calmed the voices. He thanked her for being a more soothing voice in his head.

As they kissed again, Nick came upon them. He started to leave but then stopped himself. Nick asked Billy if he truly had to let Phyllis go before she could prove herself. Billy tried to point out Nick's role in Phyllis's predicament. Nick said this wasn't about Billy or him. He said Billy shouldn't have put the opportunity in front of Phyllis and then take it away. "I'm not going to let you off the hook," Nick blasted.

Billy turned the tables on Nick. He noted that Phyllis wasn't in the right space to take on a big job. "Do you even know who Phyllis is," Nick asked. Just then, Phyllis came upon Nick, Sally, and Billy. She overheard Nick sticking up for her.

Lily, Nate, and Devon arrived at Society for a meeting. Then, Amanda Sinclair showed up. Devon asked his ex if she were the enigmatic Aristotle Dumas. "My goodness, the tone in your voices," a smiling Amanda said.

She asked if it were that unlikely that she would become a tycoon. Might the "A" in "Amanda" stand for the "A" in "Aristotle?" Amanda announced that she sent the emails to gather everyone and that she would be able to answer all their questions. Amanda informed the three that she works for Aristotle and that yes, he is a man. She revealed that Aristotle reached out to her with a job. Devon confronted Amanda and told her that clearly, "Aristotle Dumas" is a fake name.

Amanda announced that her boss had no interest in Winters. She added that Aristotle admired Neil. "Did he know Neil?" Devon asked. Amanda said she couldn't say. She shared that Aristotle respects many people. Nate said all the secrecy made it seem like Aristotle had something to hide. Amanda said that Aristotle is exactly who he claimed to be and that's all anyone needed to know.

Lily pressed Amanda about "Aristotle Dumas" being an alias. Amand reminded everyone that Victor Newman renamed himself at one point, too. She noted that maybe it's a "tycoon" thing. Devon asked Amanda why Dumas sent her to talk to them. She suggested that Dumas thought a friendly face would calm nerves.

Nate pressed for a timeline from Amanda. She dodged his question. Amanda reminded everyone that she once had her images scrubbed from the Web just as Dumas as done. She did say that Aristotle has one focus on Genoa City and that it would please everyone, especially Lily.

Amanda clarified that Aristotle was only interested in one company -- Chancellor Industries. The attorney added that she was personally upset by Billy getting rid of her. "Billy is not an issue at the moment," Lily responded after thanking Amanda.

Nate asked Amanda if she used to be more upfront. Devon and Nate pointed out that if they all took Amanda at her word -- that Dumas doesn't want Winters -- they would then be vulnerable to him if he decided otherwise. Amanda appeared offended that they didn't trust her. Lily noted that they were not her clients -- Dumas was. "I can't make you believe me," Amanda sighed. "Time will prove that I am telling the truth."

Devon said they weren't trying to offend Amanda. Just then, Amanda took a look at Devon's wedding ring. "No offense taken," she responded. She added that Dumas respects them all and that he knows about Devon, Nate, and Lily's backgrounds.

"Sounds a bit like a snow job to me," Lily said. Amanda sighed that this wasn't the reunion she'd hoped. Devon suggested that Amanda not ambush them next time. Then, they left.

At Nate's apartment, Nate, Lily, and Devon examined their meeting with Amanda. Devon noted that he caught Amanda looking at Devon's wedding ring a few times. Nate and Devon both had the idea of asking Amanda if she knew Damian. Devon wasn't sure they should move ahead with their plan to use Damian as a double agent. Devon pointed out that the only thing they knew now was that Dumas knew more about them than they knew about him. Lily proclaimed it was time to draw Dumas out of the shadows and that maybe Amanda could help make that happen.

Phyllis and Amanda shared a warm reunion at Society. But Amanda stunned Phyllis with a question: "Why the hell are you trying to contact Aristotle Dumas?"
