The Young and the Restless Recap, May 15, 2025: Kyle reveals to Claire his plan to beat Audra 

On the Thursday, May 15th episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle sparred with Audra, and he shared his plan with Claire. Also, Phyllis and Nick reconnected while Victoria and Nikki supported Claire.

What happened on The Young and the Restless

At Crimson Lights, Kyle sparred with Audra over her new company. Audra teased that her new company was still moving forward. She suspected that her being Kyle's competition truly rattles his cage. Kyle said he was not worried about Audra’s company. Audra countered as to why Kyle was wondering when she’d announce her new company. Kyle said that Audra would be able to give Jabot a run for its money – in a year or two.

Adura promised that she was going to shake things up earlier than that with a new product. Kyle didn’t think there were many new surprises in the cosmetics genre. Audra claimed that what she had planned was something Kyle wouldn't see coming. Audra said that she brings something to cosmetics that the Abbott men don't -- a woman’s sensibility. Kyle countered that Ashley has that. Audra wasn’t impressed.

“You and Jabot will have no other choice than to acknowledge my success,” Audra vowed. Just then, Holden appeared and heard their conversation and their interaction. Kyle left. Holden approached Audra. She wondered why he wasn’t in Los Angeles. Holden commented on the sexual tension between Kyle and Audra.

“I know what I saw, Audra,” Holden said after she downplayed it. He compared what Kyle and Audra had to what he and Audra had. She informed Holden that his radar was off. Nothing was going on between her and Kyle.

“Don’t be a creep and back off,” Audra said. She told Holden that the man she was talking to was Kyle Abbott. Next, Audra reminded Holden that not all their memories were good ones. He said he’d like to recapture their good times. She pushed him away. Audra said she’s in a new and better headspace right now. Her bad memories of Holden outweigh the good ones.

Holden wondered what Nate would think of Audra’s encounter with “Abbott Jr.” Audra told Holden that he better not be threatening her. Holden said he wouldn’t do that. He said he was just trying to figure her out. Audra ordered Holden to stay away from her. He cautioned her that she just may get her wish.

Nick ran into Phyllis having breakfast at the Genoa City Athletic Club. He opted to put his workout on hold to catch up with his ex-wife. Phyllis said that Summer had found a new love interest abroad while working for Marchetti. Nick cautioned that this guy had better not hurt their daughter. Phyllis announced that if that happened, then she'd get on a plane herself and deal with the matter.

Nick asked Phyllis if she was okay, as she seemed a little weird. Phyllis insisted she was fabulous! Nick said he was sorry, he asked after Phylis overcompensated. Nick changed the subject by asking about Daniel. Phyllis shared that Daniel was still getting over Heather’s death. Nick agreed that Daniel needed time. Phyllis said that Daniel needs something to be passionate about.

She admitted she was wrong to think that Abbott Communications was Daniel’s answer. Nick teased Phyllis about acknowledging that she was wrong. Phyllis revealed that Billy fired her. Nick was stunned. "His loss," Phyllis shrugged. She admitted that Daniel wasn’t the only one who needed a reason to get out of bed. She said she did, too.

Nick recommended that Phyllis go to Europe to clear her head and visit Summer. Phyllis changed the subject by telling Nick she reached out to Aristotle Dumas and she wants him to fund her new project. Nick theorized that Billy firing Phyllis might not be the worst thing in the world, given his track record with business. He suggested she find something new and exciting for her and Daniel to work on.

Nick wondered why Phyllis didn't come to him for money. Phyllis said she did that once with the Grand Phoenix. Nick countered that the deal worked out well for everyone. Phyllis paid him back with interest, and she made a bundle, too. Phyllis pointed out that Nick’s funding of Sally’s project didn’t work out.

Nick mused that that was different, and Sally was paying him back. “We’re friends. We’re pals. We’re co-parents. And I think we do that well. I don’t want anything to screw up our hard-earned bond," Phyllis told Nick. He concurred.

Phyllis admitted she felt that she was spiraling and that Daniel’s distance wasn’t helping. Nick shared he had an idea. “Let’s get out of here,” he suggested. Outside, Phyllis thanked Nick for getting her out into the fresh air. Nick said she could always count on him. Phyllis said that she could get through anything, but what she’s been through has been too much. Phyllis felt that the worst was yet to come. Nick embraced Phyllis.

At the Newman ranch, Claire, Victoria, and Nikki talked about Cole's health. Vicki said she was going to go over and check on him later. Claire announced that she had news. She and Kyle will not be moving in together. Nikki told a surprised Vicki that she only suggested that Claire slow the process down with Kyle.

Vicki said she was angry that Victor kept trying to bend everyone to his will. Claire said she wasn’t bending. She was just waiting a bit. Claire urged her mother not to be mad at Victor. She said she truly does love Kyle, but she realized that when they talked about buying Adam’s apartment, she realized things were moving fast. Victoria said she hoped this was Clarie’s decision – not Victor’s.

Claire said she wanted things to work for everyone. Vicki noted that Victor doesn’t want Claire to date until he selects the perfect man for her. She added that that man does not exist. Claire revealed she had a plan to throw a party to get Victor on board with her and Kyle.

At Jabot, Diane showed Kyle a design for a lipstick holder that doubles as jewelry. Diane shared that it was a trend back in the 1950s. Kyle said that this reminds him of his conversation with Audra and that she has some new super project that will turn the industry on its head. Jack suggested Audra was full of bluster. Diane asked where she got her funding. Jack said he just knew it was Victor.

Kyle said he should have come to his parents earlier about Audra’s new company. Jack refused to let Kyle blame himself for Victor backing Audra. Kyle said Audra’s bravado was a cover. Diane and Jack gave Kyle credit for exposing Victor’s mole at Jabot. Kyle said Audrea was super pumped about her new product. Diane noted that she can’t be trusted. Kyle said maybe he could steal it from her. Jack advised his son not to fan the flame. Or get involved.

]Kyle suggested that they not underestimate her. Diane sided with Jack. Kyle said they need to find out what she’s up to. Diane pointed out that this could complicate his relationship with Claire. Kyle said he’d find out what he could about this new super product and if it even existed. Jack doubted it did. Kyle said that he knew exactly how to get the truth out of her.

Outside Jack's office, Claire told Kyle that Nikki and Vicki loved the idea of the party. Kyle said he didn’t like putting their future on hold for Victor, but he saw how much this meant to her. Claire felt that after the party, Victor would realize that Kyle and Claire belonged together.

Kyle shared that he had a plan for Jabot and one of its competitors. Claire surmised it was about Audra and her new company. Kyle wanted to find out what she had got going on. Kyle said he would have to get closer to her to find out the truth. Kyle hastened to add that he wouldn’t get close to Audra in a romantic way. He just needed to fake interest in her business and new product. Kyle said he wasn’t threatened by Audra, but he did want to know what her supposed miracle product would be. Claire said she supported Kyle. “Trust me,” Kyle said. “You have nothing to worry about.” They hugged as Clarie had a concerned look on her face.
