Adam and Sally ran into each other at Society and made some small talk. Sally reminded him that he had asked her a few months ago if they would ever get to a place where she could stomach seeing him. Sally said she thought she was there. Adam was relieved since he wanted her to know that he and Chelsea were back together as a couple.’

Sally reiterated that she thought he and Chelsea were destined to reunite and that she and Billy were really good. Sally noted that it was all so bittersweet in regards to how things are with him and Chelsea, and admitted she sometimes wondered what could have been if she and Adam could have worked through the cheating, or if they could have ever gotten it right. Adam asked why she’d be thinking of that now if things with Billy were so great.

Sally told Adam it was a natural thing to wonder about regarding anything in life, and it wasn’t a reflection in terms of her relationship with Billy. Adam warned her that he wanted nothing more than to cheer her on, but Billy was Billy, and if he hadn’t done something to her yet, he would. Adam thought she deserved more than Billy.

Sally told Adam that despite their history, they had other people to care about and didn’t need to worry about one another anymore. She turned the focus back onto Connor and his happiness about his parents reuniting. Sally believed that Adam wanted her to be content, just not with Billy. “I don’t want a life different than the one that I have,” she said. Adam told Chelsea he sincerely insisted he wanted the best for her.

Meanwhile, at Crimson Lights, Chelsea wasted no time telling Billy that she and Adam were back together when she ran into him buying coffee. Billy wasn’t surprised but did think that it was what Adam wanted all along. Chelsea insisted that Adam didn’t con her into thinking they had a good relationship, but Billy thought Adam just upped his game. Chelsea vehemently disagreed, but Billy told her she was making a terrible mistake.

Chelsea was offended that Billy would think that she was so reckless that she would risk Connor to be with Adam. She insisted that Adam had changed and was kind and patient. Billy said Adam had always been a son of a bitch and he’d known him a long time. He wondered when the big switch happened. Chelsea suggested it was when he and Sally lost a child, and then he had to worry about Connor. Chelsea told Billy he didn’t care about Adam’s suffering. “All that matters to you is that you have someone to hate,” she snapped.

Billy told Chelsea that when she’s with Adam, she sees the worst in people. “You say you’re happy and have all this joy, but you’re defensive,” he added. Chelsea stood her ground that Adam was changed and that Billy had not. Billy called Adam a manipulator, but Chelsea insisted their reunion was not planned. Billy told her that Adam didn’t deserve her. Chelsea said if Billy only wanted to see her happy on his terms, that was his problem.

At Nate’s, Amy begs to know what Damian and Nate were arguing about and why Lily left so quickly. Damian reluctantly explained that Lily was given misinformation that he knew all about the Winters and was pretending not to. He insisted that while he did look into them after Nate reached out, it wasn’t the order of how things happened. Amy asked Nate if Lily was just genuinely concerned or if she was looking for dirt on Damian.

Nate insisted that Lily was only doing due diligence and that he was the one who didn’t approach Damian the right way. He felt it was due to his dishonesty from the start that everyone took a while to tell the truth. He noted that he had asked Lily to leave them alone. “But she didn’t. And she went to someone for help,” Amy lamented. Nate guessed it was Victor Newman. “So the man who yanked a company out from under her, she trusts him but not me. That’s good to know,” Damian scoffed. He insisted that the information Victor gave Lily was wrong, and he was offended that Lily was digging into him the way she was. Damian added that he was there because of him and Amy, but Lily’s invasive behavior wasn’t part of the deal.

Damian wondered if Nate was involved with Lily’s snooping and noted that Audra had been using her history with Holden to pump him for information about Damian. “What history do Holden and Audra have?” Amy asked. Nate said that Audra and Holden knew one another in L.A. and it wasn’t that dramatic. Amy asked Damian how many more secrets were left. She was stressed out that there was something else that was bad or dangerous. Damian gave her his word that there was nothing to worry about.

Amy hated that Damian felt attacked, but he assured her it would all work out. “It’s a gift that you two have each other. It’s really special. Promise me you’ll protect it,” Amy asked. She added to Nate to get Lily to back off. Amy appreciated that they told her what was happening and then went upstairs to rest. Once alone, Damian asked if Nate was being genuine when he told Amy he believed him. Nate told him that if Victor was Lily’s source, then someone was giving Victor false information. “Who is trying to make you look bad — and why?” asked Nate.

Chelsea and Adam came home and commiserated about their conversations with Sally and Billy. Both were agitated and shared what was said. Chelsea thought Billy had seen that she had changed over the years and couldn’t understand why he wouldn’t give Adam the same grace. Adam didn’t care about Billy’s opinion of him but didn’t like that he was giving Chelsea grief about her life choices.

Adam said that Sally was more rational than Billy and seemed genuinely happy for them. Chelsea was relieved as they had to work together. Adam thought Sally had moved on, but noted that he didn’t think things were going on as well with Billy as she let on. Adam didn’t think that Billy would even notice as he was selfish. “I know that because I used to be the same way,” Adam added.

At Billy’s, Chelsea came in and forced a smile to say hello. Billy suggested they don’t fake smiles for one another, ever. They talked about their conversations with Adam and Chelsea. Although they both wanted Connor to be happy, Billy said he didn’t believe that Adam had turned over a new leaf and was the same monster he’d always been.

Chelsea gave Adam credit for having introspection, but he was just happy to give credit where it was deserved. He knew it was hard to look at one's failings to grow, but didn’t think that Billy was capable. They agreed that they had done the hard work and both had become better people but thought that Billy was destined to lose.

Sally agreed that Adam was flawed but didn’t think he was a monster. Billy strongly disagreed and assessed how he treated Sally and Chelsea. Sally was offended that Billy was suggesting that she was with a monster who had manipulated her. She noted that some people would say the same about him.

Billy ranted that Adam was the same person he always was and that he could see it. He didn’t get how Sally and Chelsea saw Adam differently after all he had done. Billy said he was focused on issues before they came up, but Sally thought it just sounded like anger. She said that she would love nothing more than for him to leave all of that behind because he deserved happiness. “But I’m just concerned that you’re not capable of that, and that makes me really sad for both of us,” Sally warned him.
