On The Young and the Restless, Victor Newman always wins, but are we approaching a time when the writers will give us a different outcome? Is it possible we will see the Abbotts get a victory?

Can Jack stay ahead of Victor on The Young and the Restless?

The Young and the Restless has been putting the Newmans up against the Abbotts longer than time itself, but there are several related storylines going on where we could see some different outcomes this time. Not that I think the show's writers would necessarily go in that direction, but we can imagine. Hope springs eternal, right?

The corporate war with Victor (Eric Braeden) having Michael (Christian LeBlanc) plant spies at Abbott via what was formerly Glissade could easily go differently, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) know about some spies and as long as they stick together and ensure there is no infighting amongst them, it’s possible they could gain the upper hand over Victor. Keeping the spies well-fed with misinformation and having them paid off I don't like. Money doesn't buy loyalty. It buys greed— and they could just collect two paydays from either side. The better plan is to have them report back to Victor with plausible rubbish and wait for the right time to rip the rug out from under The Moustache.

Surely Kyle can’t fall for this trap

Audra (Zuleyka Silver) plans to seduce Kyle in some way and wreck a happy home, but this time could be very different. Kyle isn't the vulnerable young lad on the rebound from Summer (Alison Lanier) that he was the last time. Kyle was hurting and didn't have the benefit of experience (and I dare say wisdom) that he does now. Things are good with Claire (Hayley Erin), and they are talking about moving in together. Kyle has recognized how being with Claire is different and how he is different because of it. Sally (Courtney Hope) knows about Audra's plan, and Victoria has seen Audra at the ranch. Either one could spill the tea. If Claire finds out, we’ll see a very different side of her with her grandfather. There is a good chance Victor will lose this one, and once Jack finds out Victor is messing with Kyle again, look out, Victor.

The battle for Chancellor

Victor Newman placed Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) in charge of Chancellor, but if Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and his not-so-secret partnership with mysterious billionaire Aristotle Dumas get their way, Chancellor Industries will change hands. Will Dumas really give Chancellor to Billy? This remains to be seen — and only if they win. I’d like to see Billy get a W in the column, but according to the fans and viewers of The Young and the Restless, if it means that Tucker (Trevor St. John) is revealed to be Dumas and they get to see him every day, it would be a huge win in itself.

How do you see these three storylines panning out? Would you want to see Victor lose a few? Or are you Team Victor all the way? Pick a side in the comments below.

You can watch The Young and the Restless weekdays on CBS or stream live or on-demand on Paramount Plus.
