Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on The Young and the Restless

After watching The Young and the Restless today, I’m going to take back almost everything I said yesterday. Because now that I saw the completely ridiculous way Cane covered for himself with Chelsea — and not to mention Amanda questioning why he couldn’t have just made a phone call rather than a trip — methinks the man knows what he’s doing. There is just no way after six years of flying under the radar from the world (literally, apparently) that when face to face with Chelsea, he couldn’t have been more suave with his answers to her questions. Chelsea, a former con artist, knows how to read people and knows how to see through them. A con knows a con. And Cane, also a conman, knows this. So why did Cane go to Crimson Lights? To be seen. He knew the second that Chelsea defended being back with Adam that everything he said was going to go straight to Newman Jr. 2.0, and that was exactly what he wanted. But why? I don’t know that part, but something tells me we’re going to find out soon. But about that list he gave to Holden…he wants him to make friends with Claire (done), Adam and Chelsea (weird, but okay), and Mariah (even stranger). It’s also hard to believe that he doesn’t already know that Holden knows Claire…so maybe he’s wanting Kyle and Audra distracted with one another? We know Cane’s struggling with bonding issues, but we have to admit, he’s got us curious about how Holden’s casual relationships are going to help him.
