Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:
What happened on The Young and the Restless

People say check in on people who might be alone on the holidays, but how many folks actually follow through and do that? Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) of The Young and the Restless does, that's who! Sally invited her pal Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) over for a post-holiday visit and gifted her with a handbag that she had her eye on. Whoever said it's the thought and not the gift itself was only half-right. Sometimes it's both! Sally not only presented Audra with a present that she knew would lift her spirits, but she also wanted Audra to know that she cares about her. "You deserve to have it," Sally told her pal. Audra responded that she couldn't think of anyone ever doing something that nice for her. Audra lamented that she had nothing for Sally, but the redhead told her pal that she had given her the best gift already -- her friendship. But Sally's about more than using her fashion world connections to get her pal a bag that others are still on the waiting list to receive. Sally is a true friend because she listens and supports Audra, but she also gently calls her out on the role she plays in her own dysfunctional dynamic with Claire (Hayley Erin). Mark Twain once said that "the proper office of a friend is to side with you when you are in the wrong. Nearly anybody will side with you when you are in the right." That sums up Sally's support of Audra in a nutshell!
