Welcome to The Young and the Restless Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick -- and by that, I mean you're already halfway done -- recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today's episode. Let's get to it:

What happened on The Young and the Restless

Forget about Adam's (Mark Grossman) chess games with his father, Victor (Eric Braeden) on The Young and the Restless. The bishop that knows how to keep Victor in check is his granddaughter, Claire (Hayley Erin). The beautiful, blonde grandchild of Victor's went to the ranch to see him and she was able to make inroads with Victor that others haven't. Victor pointed out to Claire that if Jack were to lose Jabot, it'd be because of his own paranoia. "It's not paranoia if you keep the threat of the AI alive, " Claire said with a smile. Claire asked why Victor hated Jack. "The list is too long," Victor quipped, adding that Jack tried to take Newman away from him on several occasions, and that he left him for dead twice, and he married the woman Victor loved and who still lovd me, referring to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Victor went on to describe Jack as a man born with a silver spoon in his mouth, who feels entitled to anything he wants. Victor said Jack nearly caused Nikki's death. Claire conceded that Jack's plan was unorthodox but it worked. Victor suggested they no longer discuss the topic. Unlike he did with Nikki, Victor didn't yell at Claire. She's got a hold on him like nobody else seems to. Forget AI, Claire is the one thing that could take down Victor!
