At Crimson Lights, Mariah noted that Sharon seemed distracted and forgetful. After Mariah left for work, Lucy saw Sharon and asked again if she could talk to Faith. Sharon snapped, “You make Faith very uncomfortable. This desperation you have to be her friend is suffocating, and frankly, it’s very unhealthy.” As Sharon’s voice got louder, Nick and Daniel watched as Lucy pleaded that Sharon was making it sound worse than it was. Lucy told Sharon that she didn’t believe Faith wanted no contact at all. Lucy accused Sharon of stopping Faith and Lucy from being friends because of Cassie.
Daniel tried to get Lucy out of the line of fire, but Sharon came at Lucy. Sharon yelled that Lucy’s fixation on Faith was the problem. Upset, Lucy ran off. Before going after his daughter, Daniel told Sharon that he understood why she was upset but reminded her that Lucy was still a kid.
Sharon reiterated to Nick that Lucy had an unhealthy attachment to Faith that was relentless and toxic. Sharon said she felt compelled to deal with it because Daniel wasn’t doing anything. Nick corrected Sharon and said that Lucy was being severely punished. Sharon got upset and asked Nick why she needed to defend herself.
Chelsea and Connor had breakfast at Society. Connor asked why Billy hadn’t been around much, so Chelsea said they were taking a break. Chelsea explained that it was because Billy’s new job was time-consuming and that she was too busy for a relationship, as well. Connor didn't believe his mom, as he knew she was sad. Connor thought it was all his fault, so Chelsea texted Adam for assistance.

Meanwhile, Adam and Nick finished a morning meeting with a potential customer. Adam spotted Sally and ran to talk to her, and Phyllis joined Nick at a table. Phyllis analyzed Sally and Adam's body language and knew something was off, but Nick didn’t care.
Adam asked Sally to talk, but she said there was no point. He eventually convinced her to go to the park so he could plead his case with her. Adam told Sally that his hook-up with Chelsea had been a one-time thing, and he’d already put it out of his mind. Sally told Adam that he couldn’t control his impulses, and he couldn’t stand not getting something he wanted. “Case in point, I said coming here was a bad idea, yet here we are,” Sally said.
Sally told Adam that Chelsea had defended him sincerely. “She sees the good in you that, frankly, I thought only I knew was there,” Sally explained. Sally said it had hit her that she wasn’t the only woman who knew him that well. “That and your connection to Connor…I have to walk away,” Sally concluded. Just then, Adam got the text from Chelsea. Sally told Adam that he needed to go to his family—and she needed to just go.
Heather and Phyllis caught up to Lucy at the Athletic Club. Phyllis hoped that Lucy would grow out of her behavior, as Summer had. Sharon spotted them and charged up. Sharon barked, “What do I have to do to get away from this family?!” Sharon said Lucy had accosted her, and Sharon warned them that her patience was running out.
Sharon ranted to Phyllis and Heather about their parenting. Heather had heard enough, and she left. Phyllis said Sharon had some nerve, storming in and attacking her family. Sharon said she felt justified. “I know you’re not yourself these days,” Phyllis said, trying to calm Sharon down. “What is that supposed to mean?” Sharon sneered.
Sharon went after Phyllis with more personal insults, telling her that Nick and Danny had rejected her, yet she persisted in seeking their attention. Sharon called Phyllis a bulldozer who didn’t take no for an answer and said Lucy was Phyllis' mini-me. “I’m only going to say this to you once: get your family to back down!” Sharon warned. After Sharon stomped out, Phyllis grabbed her phone and said, “This insanity has to stop.”
At home, Daniel told Lucy that how Sharon had talked to her wasn’t okay but that Cassie’s memory was something they needed to respect and not use as leverage. Lucy lamented that Faith was her only friend. Lucy admitted that she had put Faith in a bad position, but Daniel had done the same to Cassie. “Your selfish decisions are ruining my life, just like they always have,” Lucy said.
Daniel told Lucy it was unacceptable to hit below the belt. Lucy apologized but didn’t understand why Cassie was a topic of conversation for everyone else but off-limits for her. Daniel tried to explain, but Lucy asked how many times she needed to apologize to get her life back. Daniel said that "now might be a good time to take a trip." Lucy repeated that a vacation would ruin her life. Lucy said her parents were miserable, and they were trying to make her the same way.
“The only person who understands me is Faith, and everyone is keeping me from her,” Lucy continued. Lucy told Daniel that he just couldn’t accept that anyone would like her. Heather came in and said she'd been able to hear Lucy down the hall. Heather suggested that Lucy calm down in her room. Lucy cried that they were putting her on a time-out, and she stormed off to her room. Heather told Daniel about being cornered by Sharon in the Athletic Club. Heather said, “We need more than one week in Portugal. Given how things have deteriorated, I think it might be time to find a new town to call home.”
At Crimson Lights, Nick met with Mariah, and they compared notes on Sharon’s public outbursts. Nick said that Sharon was making it seem like Faith wanted distance from Lucy, but he thought it was coming from Sharon. Mariah agreed and noted that Faith felt it, too. Mariah said Faith was uncomfortable with Lucy’s clinginess, but since the accident, Sharon harped on and villainized Lucy. “Sharon’s not getting any better, is she?” Nick asked.
Nick and Mariah discussed Sharon's nightmares about Cameron, and Mariah said she'd caught Sharon talking to herself. Nick wondered if Sharon was completely off her meds. Nick and Mariah agreed that they needed to find out the truth. Mariah said she would search Sharon’s house to find out what she could about Sharon’s prescriptions and if she was taking her meds regularly.
When Adam joined Connor and Chelsea, Connor asked if he knew that Billy and Chelsea had broken up. Connor then asked Adam if he and Sally had broken up, too. Connor listed the reasons it was obvious they had, but Adam answered with a sports team analogy.
Connor got upset at both of his parents. Connor said he had asked them direct questions, and they hadn’t answered. Connor concluded that they thought he was stupid. When Connor went to the restroom, Adam told Chelsea that if "this" made Connor’s symptoms come back, he would lose it. Adam blamed Billy for blowing it up and said that Billy needed to fix it.
At the park, Sally called Billy and left him a voice message. “Can we talk?” she asked.
