The Young and the Restless has plucked Natalie Morales, co-host of The Talk, to play an investigative reporter named Talia Morgan.
The tension between The Young and the Restless' Diane (Susan Walters) and her rivals Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) continues to get deeper and deeper, to the point where it would probably be impossible for the divas to ever dig themselves out of their charged situation. But while they're stuck in a headlock, another character will be digging... and it could lead to surprising results.
Y&R has cast The Talk co-host Natalie Morales in the role of investigative reporter Talia Morgan, who Nikki and Phyllis recruit to dig up dirt on Diane. The TV personality will appear in multiple episodes as part of the story arc, beginning on Wednesday, August 17.
"I'm having so much fun," Morales enthused while announcing her casting news on The Talk.

Morales joined CBS's daytime talk show as a host and moderator in 2021. Prior to that, she worked for NBC News as the West Coast anchor of Today and appeared on shows like Dateline and NBC Nightly News. Some of her previous acting credits include Nashville, This Is Us, and Graves.
CBS has a long history of daytime crossovers, and this isn't the first time that a host of The Talk has appeared on the network's soaps. The Talk's Akbar Gbajabiamila made guest appearances on The Bold and the Beautiful as a Forrester executive earlier this year, and The Talk's Sheryl Underwood has appeared on Y&R as a justice of the peace and on B&B as a character named Emmy.
