The Young and the Restless' Tyler Johnson is heading back to the CBS soap opera as Theo Vanderway, who left Genoa City for Paris back in December 2020.
Get ready to welcome back Tyler Johnson in the role of The Young and the Restless' Theo Vanderway. The actor is heading back to Genoa City the week of February 1.
As fans may recall, Theo left town in December of 2020 to run a fashion business in Paris that he inherited from his grandmother, the late Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams). But he's got some unfinished business that he must attend to in Genoa City... and with so many loose ends about him, it's anybody's guess what brings him rushing back!
The first may be family: after Dina passed away, Theo attempted to sue the Abbotts for his grandmother's entire fortune. He failed but at least walked away with the business in Paris. Could he be returning to see what else he might be able to get his hands on?

The second is Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). Shortly before leaving Genoa City, Theo connected with the redhead, who was ruffling the feathers of Summer (Hunter King) and Theo's old New York connection, Kyle (Michael Mealor), at Jabot. Summer now has ammunition against Sally, so could Theo be returning to thwart Summer's attacks? Or even help Summer take down her new nemesis?
Fans will have to keep tuning in to Y&R to find out, but no matter what the writers have in store, Johnson's time on the canvas this time around will be brief. He's only set to be back on the canvas for a handful of episodes.
It was also announced that Tricia Cast will be reprising his role as Nina Webster. For more on that, continue reading here.
