The Young and the Restless' Melissa Claire Egan says that Chelsea is getting closer and closer to her breaking point, and "bad things" are around the corner for Sharon (Sharon Case) and Adam (Mark Grossman).
If The Young and the Restless' Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) had telekinesis powers, the horrible things she'd do to Sharon (Sharon Case) would put all of the horrors of Stephen King's Carrie to shame. Alas, she doesn't have the ability to physically attack Sharon with her mind, and because she's immobile and unable to speak due to a recent stroke, her anger over Adam asking Sharon to help her is building like a sealed pressure cooker -- and the impending explosion is going to be ugly.
"Inside, it makes her spin," Egan tells She Knows about Chelsea's growing frustration and hatred toward her blonde nemesis. "Who is Chelsea's biggest threat? Sharon. It's always been her. These two women have always had this competition between them. So this is really not the best choice he could be making."

Adam seems pretty clueless about Chelsea's irritation at the moment, but Egan says it's only a matter of time before he gets with the program. Why? Because everyone knows that Chelsea has a dark history and is capable of acting out to get what she wants. But will her con-artist past make a resurgence as she fights to keep Sharon away and Adam by her side?
"Not to give too much away," teases Egan, "but yes. Bad things can happen when a person is pushed to their breaking point... Chelsea's spiraling, and when that happens, she's capable of just about anything. Who she is at her core has always been kind of a con artist. It's in her DNA."
As such, Egan says it's only a matter of time before fans see Chelsea lose total control. "She's already seeing things that aren't really there, because Sharon just lights a fire inside of her, and we're going to be seeing more of that moving forward," she teases. "I can't wait for everybody to see it!"
How far do you think Chelsea will go to keep Adam by her side? Do you think Sharon actually wants to help Chelsea, or do you think she knows that her involvement irritates her long-time enemy?
